As I mentioned I had decal sets made for me by Figarti.

With that said, Figarti seals their decals and they are very hard if not impossible to remove.

I have had a lot of luck with Collectors Showcase as their decals come off easy.

Putting decals on Zim is easy just, soak it thoroughly with Micro-Sol to soften and set it.

I have 3 King Tigers I will be working on.

Lets hope I can get through to Peter and he takes the advise and makes several numbers. Why don't you guys bug him also.

Good post. but wind and the urination effect seems to come into play. I think you just have to accept some want the way they had it a few years back. I have enjoyed some of the responses especially those who have acted as if they have remained calm over the years. That lump in the throat is actually the butter melting!!!!!!!

I look forward to the rivet count progressing and to discussing warts and all the products without the hysteria. The reason why I thought we were all here???

I think considering that only HB, CS and Figarti have done steel wheeled Tigers that it would be a simple thing to discuss but, having seen the Figarti one I would still say that HB has the style factor all wrapped up

Ok ..so before I go on to start my straight forward reviews again, notice how the Style crowd present all kinds of angles, theories and rhetoric to sell you on their approache available to look back at what they have said and done for years to to the hobby.

Figarti reviews need none of that.......You don't have to say anything other than they are the best on every level and that is all there is to it.

If you want value for your money and everything that goes with it. You have it here.

Once again ( AFV's only )

FL is absolutely excellent, but more costly

TGM is very good, good price, but a little less detailed

TCS has a big plus, the proper scale plus good price

K&C has great paint and outstanding quality getting pricey as of late.

JJD is absolutely excellent but does not do too much WWII


FIGARTI has it all and has the look of a well deteiled plastic model, but has to be used with FL figures for proper scale. With FL figures being the best figures it is the ultimate combo.

The other killer combo if you already are heavily invested in 1/28th is TCS AFV's with TGM or K&C figures. TGM figures are a little better because they are a little slighter and make for a better proportion.

Try this stuff guys I would not steer you wrong.....You want to talk style these are the ultimate combos.


I have products from all of these companies and have gone over this time and time again, my conclusions are well tested and I firmly stand by them.

If you don't agree with this assessment dont rebut my presentation , just buy what you want but don't do disservice to collectors who are looking for the straight story by trying to sell them on the STYLE bull.

Why go through all of this.....Well I was a Public Servant and I care for people, that is about it.

So I now have to prepare my FAIR reviews.

I am not used to have to customize my tanks by exchanging the decals. Zimmerit and the weathering discourage me from doing it myself. But the idea of adding the tactical number yourself is a good one.

Baggage is available separately, just not from Figarti.

Sorry, I don't have access to a digital camera...I just used some dry-brush with black/brown to accent the zimmerit and bolts...(basically I just got rid of the overly clean look and got the tank a little dirty{sm4})...I did not over due the weathering...I like it better now.....Not difficult to do at all.

Even if I didn't build dioramas and was just a collector I would want that. This thing is a groundbreaker nearly perfect.

For the record I like the Figarti Tiger and have no issue with it.....never did. My issue was with your commentary and the way you expressed it......it's that simply, nothing complicated, no conspiracy, no hidden agendas.

I am a big boy......successfully retired and at this point in my life I don't have to listen to anyone about anything..I will do things as I want, but I will keep it in my venue so no one will be offended?



Tonight I felt like a snack and went to the diner in my pajamas......this point of life is great i have been there and done that....I will enjoy this hobby as I see fit with those who have the same interests.

Not sure why Figarti should do battle damaged AFV's??? Not many other makers do that or, do it right so, with AFV's that look good they are doing something right now so, why mess with a decent formula.

Neil, the reason I mentioned was because I like some of the battle damaged effects CS have done but maybe not so much, i mean they do knocked out versions but i was thinking lesser damage on some figarti afvs would look rather good. Not saying they need to because the quality speaks for Itself, but just an opinion having myself a fairly large Figarti collection. ^&cool

Actually, Rob, they do not have a heritage of releasing fantasy vehicles. So this is a step change for Figarti. And if it makes money, all the better as it might be used to make historical vehicles for WWII collectors going forward. So I am highly motivated to encourage you to buy a lot of these vehicles and attach as many decals as you like and damage them to your delight as long as you pay full price for them. That is the wonderful thing about this hobby. You are happy and I am happy.

Probably my terrible eyesight but I don't think i said fantasy I think I said fine? If you meant fantasy In relation to my suggestion it was just that, a suggestion of something i wouldnt mind seeing. I really enjoy Figarti's afv's and always have done . I think a little more missing zimmerit or maybe a dent or two would look cool. I dont have the modelling skillto do this myself hence the suggestion. Thanks for your post, ive realised i have not post much on the Figarti section of late but intend to post suggestions and appreciation for their work much more now.

To call the tank a "fantasy" is, in my mind, pejorative. Did Figarti make a mistake? Possibly but if they have done so that is not their practice as their research is usually impeccable and their tanks the best in the industry, bar none.

All manufacturers make mistakes. No one is perfect. For example, FL's Buford's Dismounted Cavalry has a significant error (stripes down the leg, although that hasn't stopped me from purchasing all of them), just to mention one, there being no intention to single out First Legion as King & Country has made some too.
