Nfl 2012 season!!!! (1 Viewer)

Still a little early, but at 16-7 and no Cinncy offense to be seen, it's beginning to look like another Marvin Lewis playoff flameout.:rolleyes2: -- Al

Oops. A long pass for Cinncy and I might have buried them too soon.:redface2: -- Al

The pass was just a blip in the straight line readout that was the Cinncy 'offense', so once again Cinncy is one and done. In the 2nd game, I hope Webb is the wildcard that knocks out the Packers. Being the genius that I am, I predict a heavily slanted game plan towards the run for the Vikes.:rolleyes2: -- Al

Well, I see why Ponder is the starting Qb for the Vikes. Webb can run but he can't throw. He's a worm killer. Vikes got a tough half ahead having to come back without a passing game. -- Al

Funniest story in a while is that Rex Ryan has a tattoo of his wife on his arm wearing a Mark Sanchez jersey.

Ravens over Colts; imagine the pregame Ray Lewis speech, he might tear his other triceps muscle with his pregame hystrionics that he does coming onto the field, looks like he's going to have a stroke out there,

Hahahaha....whenever I need a good laugh...I come to TESPN....

Well so much for NFL playoff games being on another level, good God both of those games yesterday were just awful.

The Vikings would have been better off running the triple option like the old Oklahoma Sooners, their back up QB either threw it a mile over the guys head or bounced it out to the intended receiver, he was just terrible, no wonder he's a back up.

The Patriots get the Texans next week, hoping the Ravens win today and then go to Denver and lay a beating on Frankenforehead because if so, we'll get that rematch Sammy has been hoping for in the AFCCG....................

It's still strange to see the Colts come into Baltimore as the road team. I must be getting old.

Exactly what I logged on to say! Kind of spooky to have to root against the horseshoe in Baltimore. Times change. -- Al

The longer this game goes on being close, the higher the possibility becomes of the Colts winning this game (who are, let's face it, playing with house money).

So far we are seeing Flacco at his hair-pulling, inconsistent best.:rolleyes2: -- Al

Naturally the Good Flacco shows up right after I posted the above. :rolleyes2: Just asking for a little consistency. :wink2: -- Al

Griffin is going to need to change the way he plays or he's going to have a short career.

a running qb doesn't last long in the NFL...

gotta give Seattle credit...spotted 14 points and never let up...Carrol's defense held them to 203 total yards of offense...

This weekends playoff games were just about the worst batch I can ever remember, bad football all around.

Ray Rays pregame dance was spectacular, what was with the piece of turf on the ground that he slathered all over himself, he threw in another dance with what, 15 seconds left in the game, what a showman.

And Shanahan; wow, this guy needs to be fired, what in the world was he thinking keeping RGIII in the game, he was playing on one leg all game long until he finally blew his knee out, hope the kids career is not over, what a stupid, stupid decision.

Pete the Poodle and "You mad Bro"/Mr PED himself Sherman move on to Atlanta next weekend.

And to think the NFL is toying with the idea of actually expanding the playoffs; if anything, they need to cut it back to just 8 teams and forget the division winners and put the teams with the four best records in each conference intothe playoffs, but that will never happen.

Ravens win, Redskins lose, batting .500 for the weekend. Have to agree with you, George. RGIII needed to be pulled from the game right after the 2nd Skins Td, when he was limping badly. At the very least Shanahan should have realized RGIII's growing ineffectiveness and made the move at halftime. There is going to be a LOT of second guessing in DC for a long time over the decision to let the kid keep playing even though he was obviously hurt and ineffective. To let RGIII keep playing was a monumentally bad decision, one a coach like Shanahan should have realized. There was no excuse to risk RGIII's future for this one game. Anyway, the ride had to end sometime and I just hope it doesn't cost RGIII his future. So, let's go Ravens and beat Denver! -- Al

I agree with you on all points George. I doubt his career will be over, but RGIII is not going to last long taking a beating like that, especially when he is hobbled and unable to get away from the rush. Shanahan was insane to leave him in for the second half.

Personally, I think Seattle will knock off Atlanta next week. They played about as bad as a team can play and still beat the Skins. I can't imagine the Ravens are going to go to Denver and find a way to win.

I would love to see them eliminate divisional play, make every team play every other team in its conference once with the last game being one random team from the opposite conference for the 16th game, and then have the top 6 teams in each conference by record make the playoffs (the only tiebreaker would be head to head, since every team would play every other team once), with the two best records getting the byes, then 3 playing 6 and 4 playing 5. The team with the better record would always host the team with the worse record, no 7-9 or 8-8 teams hosting playoff games because they won their incredibly weak divisions (like the 7-9 Seahawks hosting the 11-5 Bears and the 8-8 Broncos hosting the 12-4 Steelers). As things stand, the playoffs produce some pretty weak games, with some bizarre outcomes (like the Broncos overtime win last year, in large part because the Steelers starting safety cannot play at altitude because of a blood disorder).

AL, I think you and I are the only ones in this country to think the Ravens have a chance to win in Denver, the media is already hyping this game as a easy Denver win, I hope Denver listens, reads all the papers and believes all of it...Sammy

Sammy, roger that. We have an old saying in the B/W corridor (thanks to the old NBA Bullets) which goes 'The Opera ain't over till the fat lady sings' and I haven't heard any fat lady sing yet in the case of the Ravens. Maybe we can make Peyton sing the blues instead. -- Al
