Several sources have said the Giants will fire OC Gilbride.............

Now the skinny is he'll "retire" and Grampa won't have a fit and will stay on as coach, thus solving the Giants offensive problems.

All they need now is 3 offensive linemen, a whole new backfield, a new TE, another WR and for Eli not to suck and bingo, they'll be right back in business.

And to think two years ago this absolute train wreck of a team won a Super Bowl.

Unreal.

3 of the 4 games this weekend are not even close to sellouts yet. I wonder why?

Because the teams jam the fans by jacking up playoff ticket prices at the worst possible time as people are broke after Christmas, not to mention the weather has a part in it too, Green Bay kicks off at what, 4:40PM, temps are going to be in the single digits at kick off, below zero with the wind chill.

The Patriots still have about 4,000 tickets available, they play a week from Saturday, an 8:00pm kick off; no thanks to that. Imagine if the game was this weekend; temperatures here are predicted to be 15 during the day, -5 at night with a ton of snow on the ground.

Who wants to sit through that when you can stay home in a nice warm house with great food and adult beverages flowing?

Having had season tickets for the Patriots from 1984 through 1999, December games are not fun, let alone January ones......................

Yes, it's going to be cold in GB but isn't that why they call it the frozen tundra. It's supposed to be cold. It's Wisconsin! Isn't that what people like up there? In addition, what else is there to do up there besides ice fishing. It's not like they're getting ready for their Major League Baseball team or basketball team. Moreover, they have a national following.

When the Eagles made extra tickets available, they were snapped up.

No, this one is a little hard to understand.

Frozen tundra?? It's a heated field now!

But the air will be bitter cold. A HIGH of 2 degrees in GB on Sunday...a low that night of -18. You guys out east have your snow...we'll just freeze our backsides here in the Midwest!

Thanks for the explanations and thoughts. Sometimes I forget how good we have it in California and Texas.

Considering the weather conditions in Philadelphia and GB this weekend, I think the visiting teams will be hard pressed to win. I suppose I give the 49ers a little better chance than the Saints but it's going to be tough. The weather looks to be around 0 for both games. Sunday's high in GB is 3, the low -24. I can't see playing in conditions like that. It has to be unhealthy. Man, that's cold!

And of course there will be some nut job in the stands with no shirt on trying to get on ESPN.

I don't think a dome team like the Saints has any chance playing in frigid conditions in Philly, but the 49ers, who have a tremendous defense and a potent running attack, can win in any weather conditions. Considering the fact that the Packers lost two home playoff games to the Giants over the last 10 years, I wouldn't be surprised if San Francisco knocked them out Sunday, despite the horrendous conditions.

I just saw they have sold enough tickets to all the games to avoid a blackout. Tough locations to play football this weekend. Green Bay will have -30 wind chill. Cincinnati will be in blizzard-like conditions. It's insane and unhealthy to attend games under those conditions. I can't imagine anyone going to these games when they are all on TV.

Ok fellows time to pick our winners for this weekend wild card game, I will take the colts over the Chiefs, the Bengals over the Chargers, the Packers over the 49'ers and the Saints over the Eagles, bottom line the Bengals are playing some great ball and wouldn't be surprised if they are in the AFC championship game...Sammy

I think the Niners have what it takes to beat the Pack in the harsh weather that has been forecast.

On another strange note 3 of the 4 games this weekend are re-matches from earlier in the season.

I hear what you're saying Jason but the Pack remind me of that Giant/Raven type of team where they do enough to make the playoffs and are the healthiest they been all year, either way going to be a good one...Sammy

So far in Indy, Luck doing his best Peyton Manning impersonation, down 38-10.

Awesome, just awesome, glad the Colts went in the tank for a year, dumped Manning and drafted Luck so the one and one in the playoffs Colts tradition could continue.

Hmmm, appears KC may be involved in a choke job at this particular point as the Colts have outscored the Chiefs 28-3 and now trail only 41-38.{eek3} Fumbles do take funny bounces! -- Al

FGs aren't going to do it. This could be the greatest comeback since that Bills Oilers game several years ago.

Unbelievable! But time still on the clock for KC, now trailing 45-44. What a game. Why do teams even bother with defenses any more? -- Al

Unbelievable, how in the name of God do you blow a 28 point lead?

Now the Chiefs are driving.......

A choke job worthy of the title. Luck was channeling his inner Frank Reich. -- Al

This goes down as the second greatest comeback in playoff history as they came back from 28 points down whereas the Bills came back from 32.

Glad I'm not a KC fan. Suicide watch will be on alert tonight in Kansas City.
