Nfl 2013 (2 Viewers)

I think these things snowball sometimes and that is what happened to the Falcons. They will be healthy next year, plus have some great draft picks, so watch out. Texans seem more messed up because they need a QB and a new coach.

The new coach thing is getting tons of talk time on sports radio here in Texas.

Looks like the Bears are screwed: Rogers is starting Sunday. Should the Packers win, that will be no picnic for the 49ers or Saints/Panthers/Cardinals.

Brad:

As a Niner fan I would actually prefer to play the Packers. I am not sure why but the we seem to have the them figured out.

Jason,

Be careful what you wish for. I think I'd rather the Eagles or Cowboys.

LOL, yup and given those choices I will take the Cowboys. My biggest fear though? We make it all the way to the Super Bowl and end up facing The Patriots.

Hoping for a Raven win today and Brad's J-e-t-s pull out a win, hoping for but not counting on it, but stranger things have happened...Sammy

Good luck Sammy but I don't think either things will happen today in what is probably Rex's last game.

I wouldn't throw in the towel just yet, he hasn't played in a long time, the rust may be an issue, one good shot and he's out again.............

Thanks Jets, but no thanks my Ravens have no place in playoffs after blowing thier chances today, sooooo glad this season is over...Sammy

Jets did their job and looks like Rex might be keeping his job.

It's down to the Chargers and the Steelers.

So after winning the Super Bowl vs the Patriots three weeks ago, the Dolphins then proceed to lose back to back games vs the Bills and the Jets, thus missing the playoffs.

What a disaster, great job down the stretch by blood and guts Philbin.

And the Ravens.............................ok then.

Imagine this team won two Super Bowls with Trent Dilfer and Joe "Pic six" Flacco leading the way.

Football is a funny game.

Yes, had a game gone another way for all the 8-8 teams, that team would have gone to the playoffs.

As a Steeler fan, I am ok with this, I am praying for the miracle that the Second Unit Chiefs can beat the CHargers, wouldn't that be something!@

Glad to see Flacco get EL WACKOED!

Its a great day in Baltimore, on my way out to celebrate with the rest of the family tonight, at least Logan and I will be in great moods!@!!

Another huge day for SuperManning. 4 Td passes with 400 yards in their win over Houston. Manning set the all-time NFL record for Td passes in a season with the 4th Td, which gives him 51 on the season, breaking the record of 50. His 400 yards also boosted him to 3rd place on the most yards passing in a single season with 5211. He trails only Brees with 5476 and Brady with 5235. With one game to go, Manning will take 2nd place, almost guaranteed, and might threaten Brees for #1. As far as career numbers, Manning is #2 all-time in Td passes and yards passing, with 487 and 64698, respectively. He trails only Brett Favre who has 508 Td passes, and 71838 yards. One more season will put Manning in 1st place for Td's, but I doubt he will hang around long enough to catch Favre's yardage total. Manning is 37, after all. He has put up this season's number at an age that is years beyond the other Qb's he competes with. Heck, Manning was only 28 years old when he set his former Td pass high of 49. Brady was 30 when he threw his 50 Td passes. I just don't see how he does it, favorable rules or not. Unbelievable. -- Al
SuperManning at it again. Ist half against Oakland, 4 TD passes (55 on the season) and 266 yards passing, which gives him 5477 yards on the season, a new NFL record for yardage, beating Brees by a yard. -- Al

What a horrible loss by the Bears. It's freakin' 4th and 8 and they get behind the defense. How does this bloody happen? Just incredibly disappointing. Well, defense has been a problem and I guess it finally showed.

As happy as you were to see Flacco go down Tom, I was just as happy to see the K&C field goal go wide right!! Chargers win!!! My motto if not the Ravens anyone else but the Steelers!! So I"ll grab that seat beside ya Tom, can you pass the chips? :)...Sammy

Some great games today, talk about wild finishes, 49ers win on a last second field goal, Bears lose on a 4th and 8 TD pass (and Brad is right, everyone is playing man to man, the safety lets the guy go as he's playing zone and has no help over the top, TD) so the 8-7-1 Packers win the division AND get a home game vs SF next week.

The Chiefs rest what, 22 of their 24 starters, have a shot to win and miss a gimme field goal, allowing the Chargers to sneak into the playoffs. Steelers at 8-8 had a shot to make it as the Ravens and Dolphins both lost.

Now tonight it's Dallas/Philly for the NFC East and a home playoff game................not a bad day of football.

And fittingly, Orton channels his inner Romo, throws a boneheaded INT and ends the Cowboys season.

They could have strapped Romo to a board, wheeled him onto the field for that final drive and gotten the same result.

What a trainwreck this franchise is.

On to the playoffs goes the Iggles, Chip Kelly and his Oregon razzle dazzle buffoonery.

Well, at least no sub-.500 or .500 pretenders made the playoffs this time, although Green Bay and San Diego are closest. Should be interesting playoff football. Problem is, none of my teams got in this year so I will have to tie my wagon to the 49ers, an old favorite, if not first choice. -- Al

Pure bad luck on that one. I can at least say we ended the season a much better team than we began. By the way, talk about a jinx, in a restaurant, watching the game, feeling like KC has actually done it (with the second string) and my wife asks: "Has the guy ever missed one seconds before the kick?" Needless to say, calling a divorce attorney in the morning.........................

Sammy, trust me, us not getting in is not half as much fun as listening to the local whiners on WBAL. You should check it out on the internet, I am throughly convinced that this one homer, Brett A., is going to need serious professional help over this season ending implosion. He is just aghast.

Man, I follow all of this in jest really, it is fun to watch, but at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter, life goes on. I mean, we are talking about millionaires playing millionaires for a living!
