NFL 2015 Season (1 Viewer)

not to jack up any Denver fans...

I love Manning...

but I honestly think NE would have represented the AFC better in the Super Bowl...

they just had a really bad day with their O line and that pass rush...

Denver has a great defense...but I don't see them as a come from behind high scoring team...

unless Denver can disrupt Newton...like they did Brady...I don't think Denver can score with them at all...

I really think NE would have had a better chance...

Las Vegas early line is Carolina -4 1/2...doesn't seem like enough...

Well, that was a tough loss, what can you say.

This team fought right to the end, came down to the last play (and not for nothing, but Gronkowski was wide open on the two point conversion play, Brady didn't see him).

Denver is the Patriots personal house of horrors, Brady is 2-7 lifetime there, 0-3 in the playoffs, Patriots are 3-18 there since the merger. Weird, goofy, strange things happen there; for example, their all pro kicker who hit 537 PAT's in a row misses one and it cost them the game.

They just don't play well there, end of story.

The offensive line was God awful today, Cannon is a back up and he was terrible, not sure why they didn't give him any help with a back or a tight end chip blocking on the end. Denver got all sorts of pressure rushing 3, they were getting great jumps on the snap, Brady couldn't change up the snap count because it's so loud there, so Denver just teed off.

This team blew it by losing two in a row to end the season and losing home field advantage, they went 3-5 down the stretch. Bottom line is they were too banged up, injuries gutted this team.

Pittsburg limped into Denver last week and IMO, played a better game vs Denver than the Patriots did today, they lost on a fluke fumble when they could have iced the game........................ah gee, sorry Hector of Troy, could have been your team in the AFCCG today instead of Denver, tough luck there for you.

Don't understand the coaching today; why start off with a soft zone defense against a guy who can't throw the ball more than 20 yards, he dinked and dunked them to death on that opening drive for a TD, they changed their defense after that, but the damage had been done.

Also, they should have kicked a field goal on that 4th down, that came back to haunt them in the end.

Big disappointment, the Brady window is closing, how many more kicks at the can do you get?

Manning vs Newton in the Super Bowl....................................:rolleyes2:............................I'd rather watch a hanging.

Let me know how that works out for you John from Texas, you dyed in the wool, diehard Broncos fan you....................stay classy John, stay classy.

"We're on to the off season."

you're developing the gift of gab George...

still...you had a great season...

Cowboy fans are jealous...

and Cannon was a result of at least 6 pressures...

but like they say...

next man up...

Mike, panthers were 65:1 to win when the season started.

ooooooooh my...
really...
65 to 1 huh...

wish I had put a $100 on them...

shows what the experts know...hahaha...

they are the favorites now...
you can't even get even money on them now...

Mike,
It's Denvers year, sometimes you have to just tip your cap and move on. They pulled a number of games out of their rear ends, thanks largely to that defense, while Manning was GOD AWFUL. Then he got hurt, so they threw the back up in there and he played like Johnny Unitas, Bart Starr, Roger Stabauch and Terry Bradshaw all rolled into one, "Osweiller Mania" gripped Denver, the new kid on the block, Manning was kicked to the curb, everyone said he was done in Denver.

Then the pixie dust wore off on Osweiller, he was playing like crap vs San Diego in the last game of the year with HFA on the line, so in went Manning in a panic move, he handed off the ball like a pro and Denver won the game and BINGO, he's got his starting job back just like that.

Things have been working for them all year; Phillips and that defense will find a way to shut Newton down and Manning will manage the game, hand off 100 times, complete four 10 yard passes, throw no boneheaded INT's and Denver will win the game, Manning rides off into the sunset a winner.

Book it now.

I won't watch two seconds of it, but that is how it's going to play out.

Well guess you didn't like the too much air in the ball comment. As far as PITTSBURGH ,spelled with a H at the end,not being in this years AFCCG instead of Denver it wasn't in the cards. It wasn't only the fumble that lost the game but a couple of dropped passes and a bad time offensive face mask penalty that one of our lineman took.Looking back at the first 50 years of the Super bowl era,the Steelers have been in the AFCCG 15 times that's more than any AFC team and have won 6 Super Bowls that's more than any other NFL team. You guys did close the gap getting into your 12th AFCCG, but after Sunday I guess you'll have to wait another year to try to close the gap on the Super Bowl wins, tough luck there for you.

I'm a fan too but I'm not a jerk.

Jazz and etal,

Wow, lots of love for little ole me who's only contribution to the thread prior to the games was a jibe at Brady, defending Manning and a one liner of "GO BRONCOS". Did not say a word during the game, but to make fun of myself I threw out a meme of "Uncle Rico" knowing that it was going to be a tough game for the Broncos. However, I was thoroughly scolded by Mr. Jazz to "Stop being a fan" and listen to his reasoning why Manning sucks and he is right and I am wrong. Well, the Broncos won and I threw out a couple of more funny meme's to celebrate. Now I am accused of being a "jerk" according to General Jazz for being happy for my team AND I had to publicly endure a lecture on "how to win graciously". In other words, no chit talking...even though all kinds of chit talking was slung prior to the game(s). Even by General Jazz.

I did not win the game. The Broncos did. I watched and rooted for them to win as a FAN and they won the game. So, now I am a jerk for celebrating with my friends here on the this thread. Yes, a jerk. I knew it could not be true. I knew that to enjoy a small moment of fun on this thread would be too much to ask. Someone was going to piss on it and I was right.

Just like I knew an act of kindness on this Forum would be criticized and get salt thrown on it. When, two summers ago I created a "Christmas in July" thread and gave away a whole bunch of Toy Soldier odds and ends. I had lone figures, boxes, half sets and other "thangs" that I wanted to get rid of and just gave them away. Man, I sent out tons of stuff and had fun doing it. Then out of the blue I get a nasty, bah humbug message from (you guessed it) General Jazz telling me to basically hurry up and be done with your little give a way and "just get it over with" (which i think was his actual verbiage). After that post I got a PM from a cadet at the USAFA (yeah the Academy) who told me to ignore you and that I was doing a commendable thing. Nice!

So, Jazz I remember how kind you were to me when I first joined this forum. I remember how ugly you were to me during my "Christmas in July" thread. I remember how much you scolded and lectured me for using the term "wife beaters" (as a shirt) and how offended you were at my usage that I apologized to the ends of the earth as to not offend you. I also remember defending your points of view in discussions and reading your reviews of literature (which are great). I also remember you buying a piece from me and me turning around and having you have a piece fixed for me. And now I will remember you as the sore loser who called me a "jerk" on game day when the Broncos beat the your Pats in 2016.

So, I think I got you half way figured out: I think your Clark Kent in person and Superman behind a computer.

GO BRONCOS!

ZB,

I remember reading about that at the beginning of the season. Imagine the dudes who bet on them straight up at the beginning of the season...OMG.

Warrior,

Good analysis. It has to be the altitude. Gronkowski looked like he was fighting to breathe. All of the PATS look run down and kinda of slow. Not in a bad way, but in a ether kinda of way. It has to be the altitude.

Well IMO guys it really ultimately does not really matter weather or not the Pats or Broncos won the AFC Championship game because Cam Newton and the Panthers would dismantle either one......Last Night The Panthers really destroyed the Cardinals who are also better then either the Pats or the Bronc's.....The Superbowl will likely be over at halftime and will likely be nothing more then a boring spectacle

John,

Don't assume you know anything about me because you don't. Had you known, you would know that I'm a Jets fan, not a Patriots fan, and that the Patriots have dominated the Jets over the years. What I believe in is in trying to be classy and tactful when you win and what I don't believe is in gloating; this is a lesson I try to teach to my son. Case in point: I'm a Mets fan and Lancer (Al) is a Nationals fan. When the Mets beat the Nationals, I was pretty happy because the Mets hadn't won anything in almost 10 years and the Nationals are our rivals. Did I twist the knife here and act like an idiot? No, that's not me and plus Al is a longtime friend. Why would I make him feel worse than he felt at the time.

So, no, I try to act tactfully when a team I root for wins.

Incidentally, I didn't call you a jerk. What I said is I don't act like one as a fan.

And that's basically all I have to say on to the topic.

And now on to the Super Bowl. I hope Denver wins so Manning can retire and write a storybook ending. I just don't think it's going to happen that way.

Jazz,

Well, I am not one of your children and as a grown man I am sure as heck not on this forum for fatherly advise. Jerk and now Idiot, no matter how you slice and dice them the names (or opinions of me) they are directed towards me so please call like it is. I have greater respect for a man who won't dance around how he used a word and just simply tell it to my face. You can't throw out an accusation and dissect how you "meant" it or go on about "what I really meant to say was..." Naw that's weak.

If you consider a few posts and memes gloating (rather than a little ribbing) then its egg shells for you on the NFL thread. However, I like you on other forums and will continue to do so, but I didn't draw first blood here on this thread you did. I didn't tell you to stop being a fan, I didn't call you a jerk and I didn't say you acted like an idiot. I didn't do anything that was out of line. I guess all I did is "bother" you.

Jazz, had the pen been on the side whereby I was the one behind the jerks and idiots remarks. Holy freaking Treefrog hell would have been raised and there is no doubt you would have moved to have me publicly apologize (your MO), castigated (another MO), throughly lectured (your favorite MO) and threatened with banishment from this site.

You started it and I finished it AND THAT is what I have to say to close this discussion between you and I.

GO BRONCOS! and yes the Panthers are ruthless.

I have no idea what its like to play in that altitude so take this with a grain of salt, but it must be bad as I saw Von Miller and Ware from the Broncos with oxygen tanks too. Anyhow, at the end of the day, I thought it was a fun game to watch 2 veterans go at it. It was the Broncos day, they have a shot just like any AFC team against the Carolina juggenaut. I gave up predicting Super Bowls lately, they have been unkind to me in that department. As to analysis, I do think the Broncos D is probably best matched to Newton and Company, it should be a better game than maybe we think on paper.

TD

Back to football. Although I am a Raiders fan. I have to admit I would like to see Manning go out winning. He is a class act. Like Jeter. But I have a bad feeling this is Carolina's year.

That's why they call it home field advantage, visiting teams time after time are gassed there in the fourth quarter.

The Patriots pissed away a shot at the Super Bowl with their losses to the Broncos, Eagles, Jets and Dolphins.

Win any ONE of those games and that game would have been in Foxboro yesterday with a totally different outcome.

Even at that, if their kicker makes a PAT, the game goes to OT.

And who's the genius that pushed the rules committee to move the PAT back; Belichick.

Good job Bill.

Infuriating.

Amen to that.

It's been a fun year, can't win the Super Bowl every year, they got close considering the **** ton of injuries they had.

Rest up, get healthy and go from there.
