NFL Season 2016-17 (1 Viewer)

Return to glory in LA! Or at least an ugly 9-3 win in those 90s uniforms. The rich and wealthy must be desperate for their box seats since Home Deposit seems to have put up some cheap looking ones in the end zone blocking out the historic Coliseum peristyle.

Giants defense and special teams bailed out the offense, and despite losing the turnover battle 3-0, defeated the Saints on a last second field goal. When was the last time and of the statements making up that sentence were true? 2007? It's only two weeks, and the Giants continue to put the ball on the ground way too much, but this team is already allaying my fears. If the G-Men beat Washington next Sunday, I might buy in to the idea that they are the class of the NFC East.

Steelers - 2 and 0. If Ben doesn't for some reason act like a rookie and throw 2 picks that were giveaways IMO, then the Steelers blow the Bengals out not only on the field but by score. Weird game, it was like they wanted Cincy to hang around even thought they were outplaying them. Also, still have the secondary "sometime" issue on D. Sometime they show up, sometime they don't .

And how about ole Darth Vader Harrison, still getting the job done. Sammy, remember the Ravens CUT him.............................:)

TD

My Rams are 1-1 while averaging 4.5 points per game. If they ever score a TD, they will be unstoppable. I'm sure glad the Pats are coping with those crushing sanctions. 2-0 and Brady getting an extra break to rest up his aging body for the stretch.

Looks the Pats will be having to go with the third string next week after Garrofalo was hurt. If they win that, Bellichick will look like a miracle worker.

Yea Tom I remember that cut, was really hoping he would follow your old DC to the Titans, but got to give him his credit he's stilling playing good ball at his ripe old age :)....I see nothing has changed for Cinncy, as they have been crying for 24 hours now that they could have won if not for another late game fumble, coulda/woulda isn't changing the scoreboard.

not a good spot for a rookie QB...

Houston has a good secondary and a wicked pass rush...

they put a lot of pressure on the QB...

I read this tid-bit of information awhile ago on Rob Ryans stats as a DC and got to admit not sure why the guy has had so many chances with a defense that finished 22nd or worse 8 out of 12 times??? with Arizona rollin into town Rob might want to lean on his brother for some friendly advice on how to stop the Cards offense or it may get uglier then the Jet game...Sammy

over 12 seasons as defensive coordinator of the Raiders, Browns, Cowboys and Saints, Rob Ryan's defenses finished 22nd or worse eight times. Through two games this season, the Bills' defense ranks 23rd in yards allowed per game (400.5), 30th in Total QBR allowed (83.9), 30th in yards per pass attempt allowed (8.88) and 23rd in third-down conversion rate (50 percent).

I was hopeing beyond hope that the Rams would not win a game this season. No way they beat Seattle if their quarterback was healthy. Plus Seattle took more stupid penalties than the Rams. Not going very far this year with zero touchdowns in 2 games.
I'm rooting for the Rams to loose this year more than I was rooting for them to win when they were in St Louis.
I will say I enjoyed last Monday nights 28 - 0 loss.
Gary

I know injuries are a part of every teams' season, but the Browns, Chargers and Vikings have it bad early.

The Browns, who were going to be really bad this season (possibly 0-16 bad) are now going to start their third QB in the third week of the season. The Chargers lose their top receiver Keenan Allen to a season ending injury in week one and now in week two they lose their second best receiver, Danny Woodhead, for the season. The Vikings lost their starting QB in the pre-season and now Peterson is out with a torn meniscus.

Wow.

Gary, Gary, Gary...Let it go. They're not worth it.

I haven't watched many NFL games since the Rams left LA the first time.

The thrill is gone despite growing up with the LA Rams in the 1960's, 1970's and early 80's.

Okay, back then, the Rams consistently choked in the playoff against the Vikings, Cowboys and Redskins but they put an exciting team on the field annually and were routing for.

I've turned into a big college football fan instead.

Ownership matters and there ownership isn't much to be excited about.

St. Louis didn't lose much (IMO) but instead gained more time for other things.

Carlos I have to admit it really is fun rooting so hard against a team. Believe me I don't loose sleep over this.

I still haven't forgiven the Colts for leaving Baltimore. To the owners, nothing is sacred except $$$!

It was a colossal mistake to move the Rams from LA and leave that market without a team for decades. I think your beef should be more with Cards for leaving St. Louis in the first place and not the Rams who are back where they belong. But hockey season is upon us. So onward.

A curse on Robert Irsay! A black day for Baltimore and an event many a Baltimore Colt fan has never forgotten or forgiven. Johnny U himself disavowed any connection to the Colts once Irsay moved the team. The Colts were the love of Baltimore and should still be there. -- Al

Sports is a business like any other business so owners will do what they think is in their financial interest, from moving a team to trading a popular player. Teams move because they think they can get a better deal elsewhere. The same for players: they move because they think they can get a better deal elsewhere. I don't like to see teams leave but just as I don't begrudge players for getting a better deal, I don't begrudge for owners doing the same.

Testify, Brother Al, testify!:salute::

Irsay's dead, or I'd heap grand gobs of pooh on him for the deed.

At least Cleveland got to keep the name (as it turned out).

Congress ought to pass a law...

The owner may own the team, but the city and fans by --- own the name!

Brad, as in all things people see and view things totally different and I have no issue with that, but the majority of Baltimore Colts fans that grew up in the 50s, 60s,70's have a love for that team that is hard to explain (did you ever see Barry Levinston movie (Diner)??? take that movie to heart if you have seen it as many members of my East Coast family are like a lot of characters in that movie!!!! they, myself bled blue/white, and now we're all Ravens Redskins,Raiders,Indy Colts, etc. etc. fans, :( and I say this with no hesitation as much as I love my Ravens if Irsay Jr. called today to make a deal to give the name and colors back to Baltimore I'd be thrilled to no end!!!! just my point of view on the matter...Sammy
