Nfl season 2017-2018 (1 Viewer)

George...
it's the end of the world as we know it...{eek3}
Armageddon...
frogs falling from the sky...
the Apocalypse...
pestilence and famine...

but I think Brady will be just fine...
I don't think he got that old in 7 days...
everybody has a bad game once in a while...
should be a good game next week...

The commentators on the TV sports shows and the hosts of the talk radio shows are having a field day; a bad game is great for business and they love to egg people on with their comments, most of them aren't from around here. One of the biggest trolls is this guy Mike Felger from Wisconsin, he's a Packers/Bucks/Brewers fan and he constantly rides the home teams when they don't do well, he's a real bomb tosser.

He's been on the warpath on both the radio and TV, he loves to get a rise out of people..............................imagine after a game like that last night they open 2.5 point favorites next Sunday.

Those boys in Vegas know their stuff, I'll defer to them.

End of day it will be which team wants it the most, all teams are beatable, therein lies the chess match and as of memory, my Steelers have not come out on top of this matchup.

Pats just signed Kenny brit. That’s an odd move to me, but they love the veterans and giving them a shot, so who knows

In this day and age of over saturated media and analysis anytime a dominant team loses a single all of the sudden they are done.

This seems to happen with 'Bama, Golden Sate and the Patriots.

Tonight's Broncos vs. Colts game is the quietest game I have ever seen. If it weren't for the commentators and an occasional whistle from the refs you would think I was watching it on mute.

Jason...
that is putting the hammer to the nail...
these sports shows/channels struggle so hard to stir up crapola...
it borders on ridiculous...

the make the biggest effort to make things interesting...
by blowing small insignificant stories completely out of proportion...
I guess they have to talk about something to try and keep us watching...
and protect their jobs...

I'm so tired of reading about Lonzo Ball and his crazy father...
it reminds me of the Kardashians...
for the most part...
who cares?

Mike:

Great post.

I simply do not understand it. Each time the Patriots have lost over the past couple of years the following week has been filled with stories describing the end of the Patriots' run of success. And then, invariably the Patriots win the next game and that talk is forgotten. As I mentioned in my previous post successful teams seem to be victims of this.

The NFL in their infinite wisdom have assigned flag happy Tony Corrente and his crew of ********* to this game; I predict flag after flag on third down to keep Steeler drives going and Gronk to get at least 2 OPI penalties, I smell a screw job of epic proportions in the works.

Will see the Steelers in Pittsburg in the AFCCG.......adios HFA..............................

Cmon no excuses that crew is as bad for us as it is for you!! End of day any given Sunday the best team that day will win. It should and hopefully will be a good one and it could be part one of two!

Tom

He's brutal.

His crew is brutal.

And he favors the home team.

Just sayin.

The Steelers have that 2015 Denver Broncos horseshoe up their *** vibe going this year, they're 11-2 and could just as easily be 8-5.

It's got to be those terrible towels, just ask that Steeler ballwasher Collinsworth; for a guy who got his brains beat in by the Steelers, he sure is a honk for them.

So who has the horseshoe? What an incredible finish to a great game. I'm stunned by that last 1:30. Congrats to the PATS.

As a pats fan, love it. As a football fan, why did Ben not throw that away????

49ers win again, beating a winning team. Having the right QB makes all the difference.

9 times out of 10 if itis not a td, then incomplete. I think he just really wanted to win it. Heartbreaking loss here, but a great game and hopefully we will meet again this year. Fun finish in a lot of ways.

One of these days it’ll be a healthy pats team vs a healthy Steelers team!

Brown supposedly at this point is back for playoffs along with Haden. Bryant showed up tonight so who knows, they are both loaded teams ie Gronkowski is a thorn. I think it was one of the better games this year, just a tough loss as a fan. You guys seem to have our number.

More bad news for the NFL. Racial slurs and sexual misconduct claims against Jerry "what about all those minimum wage jobs" Richardson.

"Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson, under investigation by the NFL for allegations of workplace misconduct, announced Sunday that he will sell the franchise that he founded.

Richardson, 81, allegedly made verbal comments about women's appearances, inappropriately touched female employees and made advances to women that included asking whether he could shave their legs and for them to give him foot rubs."

"So who has the horseshoe?" Yeah, great, thanks for your input.

"What an incredible finish to a great game." Best game of the year so far.

"I'm stunned by that last 1:30." Steelers were flawless for 59 minutes and 55 seconds; you need to play a full 60 minutes to beat New England.

Refs kept the flags in their pockets for the most part, I was stunned more by that.

Can't believe they almost lost the game after that drive to take the lead on a simple two yard dump pass over the middle, nice rub route there on Rowe, credit to him for hustling all the way and disrupting the play. Jordan Richards; smart fella, Stanford grad and all, but he sucks, he hasn't made a play since he left Stanford, what a tomato can.

The Patriots defense is putrid, they could not get off the field yesterday, Steelers were something like 10 for 13 on third down; that said, give them credit, after the field goal to cut the lead to 24-19, they stopped the Steelers and forced a three and out, gave the ball to the league MVP and he took it from there, that drive was surgical to take the lead.

Gronkowski is THE best tight end in football, he's a beast, poor #28, he looked me when I was 9 playing football in the back yard with my 17 year old cousin and his buddies.

What is Pittsburg thinking there on third down; nothing there, the guy was covered by three defenders, throw it away, kick the field goal and take it to OT.

Just unbelievable.

I'll take it.

Take care of business at home the next two weeks, no sure things in this league, get healthy and take it from there.

Adios Boss Hog; you won't be missed.

Brad:

The Niners are definitely headed in the right direction. Garoppolo looks legit, and local sports is reporting that even after a short time on the roster he has become a vocal team leader. If they draft well and get a few free agents, they could actually have a winning record next season.

For the first time in a long time I find myself looking forward to watching their games, rather than dreading them.
