Nfl season 2017-2018 (2 Viewers)

Get back to me when the Cowboys get screwed out of two #1 draft picks.

George...

what do you call him...

"The Ginger Haired Stooge"?

I'm starting to hate him too...^&grin...

6 team owners on the committee making all the decision on Goodell's contract...

JJ wants it so all owners can have a say so...

31 teams are happy with the system...

if I was one of the team owners that wasn't on the committee...
I would want some say so...

Jerry Jones backs Roger Goodell in standoff with Robert Kraft, Pats:

"He's got obviously a very tough job," Jones said. "Now I see some people doing that, that's that old violin that's not feeling too sorry for him because that's why you pay the big bucks is to deal with the big problems. But he's doing an outstanding job.

ESPN-Jul 30, 2015

An earlier report by The New York Times characterized the reimbursement as a fine to be levied on Jones by Goodell.

The owners are citing a rule that has been on the books for more than two decades, that says if an owner participates in bringing litigation against other owners, he must reimburse them for the legal fees.

The league will order Jones to pay all fees that the compensation committee incurred while legally defending itself from the longtime Cowboys owner's threats to sue over the extension of Goodell's contract. The Cowboys never followed through on that suit. Jones will also have to compensate the NFL for all its legal fees spent defending the Elliott suspension.

The reimbursement action was generated by fellow owners, not Goodell, and has been approved by the league's finance committee, sources told Graziano.

Saw a report where the NFL is considering some rules changes, eliminating the survive the ground aspect of a catch and limiting DPI to 15 yards.

Limiting DPI to 15 yards is going to be rough for some teams; so when is Flacco's retirement party, his go to play is 3rd and forever, heave it down the sideline, 45 yard DPI, first down Ravens....................................

Sounds like the Eagles are going to deal Foles. I think that is an excellent move. Despite his Super Bowl run, he is not their starting QB next year. They can deal him for maximum value at the moment and then sign a decent backup QB on the market. The last thing any team needs is a QB controversy with the fans crying for blood every time the starter makes a mistake.

Agreed; now he can cash in and go back to being the tomato can he was before he caught lightning in a bottle for three weeks; in a watered down league where there aren't 32 decent starting QB's, leave it to this bozo to play out of his mind at just the right time.

My nephew has rewatched the Super Bowl and said he made some crappy throws, but his receivers made some great catches.

He must be a glutton for punishment, I haven't and won't watch .01 second of highlights from that game, not now, not ever.

The Falcons should have beaten the Iggles in the first round, but nope, Ryan crapped himself and the legend of the tomato can was born.

Seattle is dismantling their defense. Either they know something we don't or the Seahawks' reign is over in the NFC West.

It's time for them to rebuild; the window closed on them.

Richard Sherman is visiting the Niners. Might be a likely landing spot.

Looks like Sherman is signing with the Niners. After all that has happened with him and his mouth I am not so sure I like it.

You're kidding, right? This is a signing a team makes when it thinks it's ready to contend.

He's expected to be ready for training camp. The contract is said to be heavy on incentives so if it doesn't work out the 49ers probably won't have gambled a lot.

It's going to be fun watching this team this year.

kind of agree...
it's a statement that SF is serious about winning this year...
when you take a shut down corner like Sherman in free agency...
he is an instant starter for SF...

with Bennett going to Philly...
makes you wonder what Seattle's vaunted defense is gonna be like this year...
that's 2 huge pieces they lost...

read an article that Bennett declined a better offer with NE...
wanted to be with his brother...

Nope. I have not forgotten his mouth. I am not a "as long as we win fan", I felt the same way when they did not release Aldon Smith.

With free agency starting, so far the Patriots have lost Butler, Amendola, Lewis and now Nate Solder.

Soldier signed with the Giants, 4/60, he's now the highest paid left tackle in football.

Yikes; 15 million a year for a guy who's never once made the pro bowl. He's a solid left tackle, but the highest paid, I think not.

The Titans, Doofins and Jints can have these guys; I love how teams stampede to sign ex Patriots.......sorry fellas, it's not the players, it's the system ,the coach and the QB.

you gotta look at it and think of all the $$$ they are adding to their cap...

definitely pricey on Solder...
but the Giants have suffered in QB protection for too long...
Eli is lucky he hasn't been killed yet...
the offensive line's protection is their weak link...
this should improve his safety in the pocket considerably...

Someone needs to review these big signings a year or two after the fact. It seems like most of the time they do not pan out or lead to anything close to a championship.
