Nfl season 2017-2018 (1 Viewer)

I have been a Dallas fan since the fading days of Staubach's career.

I bought into Elliot and now this....

I'm just done with the NFL anymore.

No Fing Longer- that's NFL to me.

Forget it, it just seems like we get a success story and wait around for it to go down in flames.

I'm done.

Ill go back and enjoy the epic SB's of the 70's, the playoffs of the 80's and the Aikman/Smith years of the 90's.

Today's NFL is just crap.

Well Summer is behind us now, the NFL season kicks off Thursday night, will be at the game to see banner #5 raised/revealed/whatever they do before the game.

Should be an interesting season, despite the Edelman injury, this team is loaded, anything less than a trip to the AFCCG will be a major disappointment.........................good luck everyone with your team of choice.

Even you Louis.

I predict the Cowboys will go 6-10 this year. The running game will be less effective, and Prescott isn't a good enough passer to carry the offense. Hopefully, Dan Bailey can keep them out of the season-standing's cellar. As for the defense, I rate it five :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:! ;)

And good luck to you too George, although, frankly, I would be shocked if your Patriots are not in the AFC Championship Game.

Injuries are the only X factor.

They are already down one starter on offense, one back up WR who made some key catches last year, a rookie draft pick who figured to be in the linebacker/DL rotation, another LB who was a key contributor as a back up, one of their special teams aces, and lastly, their punt returner and they haven't even played a real game yet.

Does not bode well for the season to be down that many guys already.

When we were leaving the stadium Thursday night after losing to the New York Football Giants in the last preseason game, two stooges in Beckham and Manning jerseys walked past us and one of them said "See you in the Super Bowl!!" and my reply was "I'd rather go to a hanging"..................if there is a God in heaven, please Lord, not the Giants again............one loss was soul crushing, two was beyond infuriating, a third loss and I'd want to drive off a bridge in a truck filled with explosives............................

But hey, good luck Louis!!

The Giants lack an offensive line and can't run the ball. They are not going to the Super Bowl.

This will probably be the last time I type this for the season:

The Niners don't have a losing record. :)

It seemed strange that Ezekiel Elliott will play this weekend and begin serving his suspension in week 2 of the season? Then I realized that the Cowboys play the Giants on Sunday night football in prime time on Sunday in week 1.

Wow..this might get ugly quick, hadn't even got out of the shower yet and already 7-0 Pats {eek3}

I did say it might get ugly, but was thinking the Pats would be doing the winning...wrong!!!!! defense gives up 537 yards to the Chiefs which won't win you many games even if Brady is the QB, but if I remember just a few short years ago N.E. started off slow and was destroyed on a Monday night game against these same Chiefs and folks were calling for Brady to think of retiring,..... fast forward to the Super Bowl where they beat the Seahawks, no way in Hell N.E. loses the East, and come Home field time for the playoffs it will run through N.E. that I am sure of.

That was some ugly defense and to a lesser degree some ugly offense!

A silver lining though, I have Kareem hunt in fantasy football 😀

If my Dad were still alive, that game would have killed him.

The one thing that is going to derail this team is injuries; Edelman done, now Mitchell is done, Amendola with a concussion, Hightower injured his knee, their front seven blows right now.

And with Edelman out, if the refs are going to allow teams to maul Gronk like the Chefs did last night, it's going to be a long season.

Not that it mattered as they got their ***** kicked by that tomato can Alex Smith, but the refs sucked last night, blew a number of holding calls on both offenses all night long...........................plenty of ammo for Belichick last night.

No where to go now but up................hopefully.

I have said it once and I will say it again:

The NFL is not college football. You can lose a game (or even 3) and go to the playoffs, heck you can even win the Super Bowl!

The Patriots lost a game, they are still the favorites in my mind to win the Lombardi Trophy.

I absolutely agree. One loss is nothing to a team coached by Bill Belichik with Tom Brady as its QB. So it will be 13 wins instead of 14 this season. I wouldn't worry about it. The injured players will for the most part return in a few weeks, their defensive scheme will close the holes, and Tom Brady will be Tom Brady. The will win the AFC East going away.

Last time KC crushed the Patriots (2014)
They lost only one game after that
and won the Super Bowl
I take last night's game as a good omen
Brady and the boys

Nice little moment of deja vu/way back machine as I ran across the Colts/Rams game. Both teams in their classic blue and white unis, including the Rams with the white horns on the helmets. Would have thought I was back in the 60's if it wasn't for the Indy factor.:wink2: -- A:wink2:l

Did you also see the 47 people in the stands?

Way to embrace the return of the Rams to LA; GEGJ LA.............what a clownshow of a sports town.
