And he can't go to Miami (who may have lost Tannehill for the season) as they have a huge Cuban community. He was dumb enough to praise Fidel Castro and wore a Castro t-shirt last year.
Why Tannehill did not have surgery at the end of the season last year is beyond me, pretty foolish.
The Dolphins were the only legit threat to the Patriots in the division, by legit I mean 10-6 if they are lucky, but if he's done, more like 6-10.
I went to Patriots camp with my best friends youngest son this week as my friend works during the week while I sell toy soldiers...........:wink2:.......and his weekends are pretty booked, his son loves the Patriots. I got him Brandon Cooks autograph.
Some observations;
Brady is a rock star, the place went bananas when he ran onto the field.
Gronkowski is a man among boys, really a shame that he is so injury prone, he's a beast. Imagine being a safety and having him catch a pass down the seam and you're the guy trying to tackle him, forget it.
Cooks is fast and I mean F-A-S-T
Their running backs are quite a group, Gillespee is fast too, the kid they got from the Bengals is something else, two terrific signings.
David Harris is a monster in the middle, I think he'll be the defensive captain this year, he'll wear the green dot.
The two rookie defensive ends they drafted are HUGE, fast too, Wise has some unique spin and swim moves.
Gillmore and Butler are two shut down corners, they both looked great.
This team is simply loaded; injuries are always the X factor, but I cannot envision a scenario where if they are healthy they are not back into the AFCCG for the 8th strait season. They have a tough schedule; the AFC West, the NFC South, they're going to have to earn their way in this year. The 19-0 talk is idiotic; I'm thinking 13-3, maybe 12-4, 14-2 would be ideal, but I think 13-3 or 12-4 will get them the #1 seed.
This has been going on since 2001, just unbelievable. If they manage to win another Super Bowl the next couple of seasons, IMO they are back to back the team of the decade for the 2001-2010 and 2011-2019; in the free agency era, that is quite an achievement.
My friends son is 16 years old; he's never seen a losing season. The worst record they've had during his short stay on the planet is 9-7. They've been in the playoffs 14 of the 16 years he's been alive. When I told him how bad they used to be, he just laughed.
Unreal.
If it all comes crashing down tomorrow, it still was one Hell of a ride, a sports fans dream.
