Nfl season 2017-2018 (3 Viewers)

Couldn't agree more, no one team sticks out to me as the clear cut favorite.

This year reminds me of 2013 when the Browns won the Super Bowl largely thanks to some moron defensive back for Denver who committed the cardinal sin of letting a receiver get behind him, Flacco heaved a prayer downfield that was answered, they tied the game, won it in OT and then came here and destroyed the Patriots, that's the game afterward where that choir boy Suggs with a face only a Mother could love was screaming all sorts of obscenities in the tunnel heading back to the locker room about Brady and the Patriots.

No one other than Sammy thought they had a shot that year, but there you go.

I would not be surprised if neither of these two teams get to the AFCCG, fluky things happen in the playoffs, teams get hot and get on a roll and that's that.

Just glad to be part of the mix..................

To be honest that whole playoff was unreal, to beat the old "Baltimore Colts" in the 1st round, then the Manning intereception in ot to erase a few demons with him, then on to N.E. to fix the dropped Evens td and Billy "shank"Cundiff missed FG from the previous year, the Superbowl was just icing on the cake, what we won in the AFC was good enough for me!!!! but agree with George, just need to be consistent enough to get in and get hot at the right time, after that all bets are off and it's anybody's ballgame.

Ouch, not my favorite trip (that Super Bowl) down memory lane.........................

Bears won today. If they had played the AFC North all season they would have been 16-0.

49ers are continuing their resurgence under Jimmy G, beating the Jags handily. It’s exciting to watch.

When the Niners decided to start playing Garoppolo I circled the Jags game on the calendar because I wanted to see what he could do against a top rated defense. He led them to touchdowns on 3 of their first 4 possessions of the second half and scored 37 points against one of the NFL’s top defenses.

I'll take that.

:)

Jason, I think your 49ers have a solid future with not only the qb situation but over all good coaching and player development, good luck next year.

Sammy:

Thanks for the words of support.

I will be looking forward to more than just the draft at the end of this season!

My best friends son works as an intern at Gilette Stadium; he texted him and told him "Ex Steeler James Harrison is here......................saw him in the hallway, he's big as a house"................just saw breaking news that the Patriots signed him.

This is good news/bad news; the good news is if he has anything left, he'll be a big help in the playoffs, the bad news is the Steelers linebackers are hot garbage with Shazer out, so if he got cut by Pittsburg, what does that tell you..........also, probably not good news for a return by Van Noy..................

Oh well.

He was actually a casualty of the shazier injury and having to activate different players. Basically we lost the luxury of carrying him. It is a shame as he is a true Streeler and I hope it doesn't come back to hurt us. Sad day in a way.

I wouldn't worry about it, just shows you how thin the Patriots are at OLB/DE at this stage of the season, they cannot hold the edge at all lately.

The reaction by some fans is borderline bat **** crazy; what did they want the guy to do, if someone comes calling, you take the money..........

So apparently today in the Burg, a reporter asked Pouncey "So is Harrison signing with New England similar to a cowboy switching sides to the Indians at the Battle of the Alamo?"..............................

That question idiotic on so many levels I lost count.

I need to know who this Wyle E Coyote Super Genius of a reporter is, ASAP.........................

Bluto: Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Otter: [whispering] Germans?

Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.

Bluto: And it ain't over now........................

The Alamo reference is classic, just classic; neither cowboys nor Indians were at the Alamo, so he's 0-2...............

Jets finished looking terrible. I’m not sure how contract extensions for the Coach and GM were justified. Of course, they have no QB.

Bears finished looking terrible too. The Coach held a 24 second news conference. He will be fired tomorrow.

49ers finished on a high. Admittedly, they were not facing the Rams “A” team but the win was still impressive.

Redskins finished on a down note, even the mediocrity of a .500 season eluding them. Won't even comment on the massive EL CHOKE-O by the Ravens. No one left for me to root for. Come on Alabama. -- Al

I was happy with the Niners' win, even if it was against the Rams "B" team.

The only 3 teams that can have longer winning streaks going into the 2018 season are the Chiefs, Patriots and Vikings. Granted one of those 3 teams would also have a Championship.

Ravens choke once more... 3 losses against the Bears in OT, Steelers, Bengals will haunt this team, either way this team fight a good fight with the injuries but in the end you got to show up and play..today they did not.

Yes Jazz, the JETSzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz finish bad again. After 50 years of them for me, it's plain painful. But having moved down to N. Wilmington, Del., I can mooch from the Philly fans. Though after watching Foles these last 2 weeks, uncertain if he will be able to live up to Wentz. Will see how they look after 2 week layoff.

A tough one for you Sammy. I thought the Ravens had it when they went ahead in the 4th.
