Nice win in Detroit tonight by the Black and Gold, they went up early 2-0 and then sat on the lead, Detroit carried the play for the last half of the second period and about 5 minutes of the third, Bruins got an empty net goal to end it.

They've outscored Detroit 7-2 and have taken back HIA, keep it going Thursday night boys.

I would say you have nothing to worry about after watching the last 2 games. I knew the physical game would catch up to Detroit. I just didn't think it would be this fast. Howard seems to be spotting the Bruins a goal every game as well and that surely doesn't help. It's funny the Bruins have always been my second favorite team but I am quickly starting to dislike them:wink2:

I'm from New England; we always find something to worry about, it's our nature.

Things are looking good right now, but then again, things were looking good last year in the Stanley Cup Finals up 2-1, then Chicago's offense exploded in game 3 and they never looked back, winning three in a row and the Cup in the process.

If Detroit wins Thursday, we're back to square one, even at two games each, we'll see how it goes.

When I was a kid, my Fathers two favorite players outside of Orr were Howe and Hull, he was an original six fan; for him, it was the Bruins, Red Wings and Blackhawks in that order. As a police officer, he had the chance to meet all three, thought Howe was just about the classiest hockey player ever.

He told me he's got mixed feelings as he watches this series.

Gordie Howe is such a class act. He is probably one of the most respected retired athletes in the area. I have met him on several occasions and I am always in awe at what a terrific guy he is. It's just something about that era of hockey players that makes them humble and grateful for the opportunities they had and can give to others. I really wish I could say the same about today's players. Granted there are the exceptions but they are far and few in between.

Is there anyway to double like a post?

My Father agrees with you 1000%, so do I, he things the world of Gordie...............................

So after almost being run out of the building in the first period down 3 zip, Columbus gets the next goal and is down 3-1; and true to form this series, whatever team has the 3-1 lead loses, as did the Penguins tonight 4-3 in OT.

Fleury fumbles the puck with less than a minute left in regulation, Columbus ties the game and wins in OT, Fleury looked awful in the OT, fighting every puck............wow is he horrible, skates of clay at this point.

And someone needs to tell Crosby the series has started, he's got zero, as in no goals in four games.

Invisible.

One of the strangest series that I have ever seen. Fleury misplaced a puck behind the net and then for some reason does the splits off to the side of the goal instead of hustling back in front. He leaves the goal wide open for the tying goal. Wow. I thought if Crosby had hustled down the ice for a loose puck just before Fleury's folly that he would have had an easy goal in the empty net. Interesting to see if this one gets in the heads of the Pens. They must have thought this series was all but over. Now the monkey is on their back.

I caught some of the Ducks and Stars game last night. A good series, but hands down Dallas takes the award for worst home uniform. It's what I would describe as Exorcist pea soup green.

Bruins win in OT, 3-2. Were down 2-0 as Detroit threw the kitchen sink at them, they played for a period and a half like their season was on the line because it was.

Bruins hung in there and tied it, forcing overtime; they outshot Detroit 12-3 and scored on a wrist shot from top of the left face off circle.

Give Detroit credit, they stormed the castle, Tuukka was huge, stopped a breakaway early in OT and made several other great saves.

One game at a time, it's on to Saturday.................

No sweep for the Sharkies, LA played with pride and got a win. I hope we wrap it up on Saturday, I do not like the thought of it going to a 3-2 series.

Well I think the Bruin/Wing series is just about wrapped up. Maybe just maybe Detroit can pull off 1 more win but other then that it would take a miracle to win this series. I've also come to the conclusion that it's not the Bruins that I'm beginning to dislike. More or less it's that constant thorn in side of a player Marchand that I hate. The guy has it all. He is a pest who instigates and aggravates the opponent, he can skate and handle the puck with ease and he could easily get a Oscar for his over exaggerations of injuries. If he could score on a empty net he would be the ultimate player. With that said I would love to have him on the wings^&grin. I grit my teeth saying this knowing there is still a game to go but I'm pulling for Boston to win the cup once this series is over.

He is monumentally annoying; if he were on another team, I'd dislike him for sure.

He missed not one, but two empty nets last night; the first one was bad, the second one was unbelievable, Stevie Wonder could have scored on the second one, had the entire net to shoot at, all he had to do was pull a Happy Gillmore and tap, tap, tap it in the hole, but instead he shot it 100 MPH and it whistled wide left by about two feet.

I've never seen anything like it......................

I fell asleep with the game tied at 2 and was shocked that the Kings scored six goals. It was an evenly played game up to that point. The next game will be huge. Quick is due for a clampdown game. If they can steal one in SJ, then it's a series again going back to LA. The Kings are a streaky team.

Agreed, all it will take for LA to get back into this is a win on Saturday. That moves them from almost being eliminated to having a chance to win the series.

Should be a great game.

Hawks 3, Blues 2 in OT. Although not elimenated the chances of St Louis winning this series are like John Gambeli posting that he is happy with what the toy soldier makers have done and he needs no more or scorchexxx on ebay cutting his prices in half. Forget about hockey, I,m taking the wife and moving to Fiji and take up watching the sport of outrigger canoeing.
Good bye cruel world!
Gary

This made me laugh; the first part is funny enough, the second one is a fable only Aesop would buy into.......

Well that was fun while it lasted :( Oh well heres hoping the Bruins win the cup now. The Wings should have a very productive off season. A lot of dead weight will be dropped which should open up some big moves for Detroit. Personally I'm hoping Detroit can snatch up some of the offensive FA talent from St. Louis. A good defensemen is probably even a bigger need.

The Kings are finally playing their style of hockey. That was a prototype game for them last night. Tough D limits the shots of the opponent, convert a few chances, and let Quick do the rest. I'm not sure they can take four in a row, though.

My greatest fears are about to become a reality. LA is clicking at the right time. On top of Quick and some great defense, their penalty kill was top notch. Not to mention the Sharks played with no intensity, looking as if it was a pre-season game. I think someone needs to tell them you need to win 4 games to take the series.

#uh-oh

I hope Gary is ok, Blues are out after leading the series 2-0, got rolled the next four games and lost the series 4-2.

Too bad, was looking forward to a Blues/Bruins 1970 SCF rematch...............next up for the Bruins, Montreal.

What a war this is going to be...........

Think poor Gary is on a bender. It's tough being a fan sometimes.
