I'm killing time waiting for the Hawks/Blues game, watching the start of the Rangers/Flyers game.

Brad, being the big Rangers fan that you are; who is this hack murdering the anthem at MSG; he should be wearing one of Sammy's butchers smocks, not a sportcoat. Nice rug too by the way, he flubbed about three words and fumbled the ending, wow was he awful..............

Watching the Blues Hawks game right now, can't take much more. Its about to stress me out.Lets go Blues!!!

I am glad my Sharks have the LA game all but won, I can now watch the Blues/Blackhawks in OT.

In about a half hour I will be heading to the Scotttrade Center for the Blues Blackhawks game. In a way I feel how GI,s must have felt in those higgins boats heading towards Omaha Beach. In my case the Germans are replaced by Hawk fans.
A quick 3 goal lead should silence them, otherwise it,s been nice knowing all of you!!!
Gary

That was quite a game. It sounded like the place was rocking. I got the feeling the Blues were toast if they let that one get away.

We may have to look for Gary in the coronary unit of a St. Louis hospital.

LOL. He may still be at the arena waiting for the next game. Triple OT makes for a long night. And with a break between each OT! I know a lot of hockey fans hate the shootout rule during the regular season, but there comes a point beyond human endurance. I also noticed a lot of Blackhawk jerseys in the crowd. Hopefully there were no drunken brawls. I imagine by the end of that game a lot of fans had an opportunity to knock back quite a few beers.

My Kings got destroyed by the Sharks. For some reason, the Sharks are perceived as the underdog in this series despite playing at home and having earned 111 points during the regular season. Hard to understand. I haven't seen an opponent talked up as much as the Kings since Lou Holtz left ND.

What a game!
Have to report instead of the usual 40% Hawks fans at a Blues game, maybe only 15% last night. No problems with them. Longest game in Blues history.
Yea, I know the players need it but those breaks between overtime periods make for a long night. It would have been a killer to go that long then loose.
After a miserable end to the season, St Louis is back in the hunt.
You think toy soldier collecting is expensive, the jersey T J Oshie wore in the Olympics when he had all those shoot out goals just sold in auction last night for $23000.
Gary

So my girlfriend calls me and says she's got two tickets for both the Bruins and Red Sox games, which one do I want to go to?

Wow, she really had to ask; who gives a rats @#$ about Red Sox/Orioles in April?!

Matter of fact, I could care less about the Red Sox this year, period.

Call me crazy, but I have a feeling the MFY's are going to win the division.

Whatever.

Time to go get primed for the game, adult beverages for everyone; Red Wing fans tonight had better not give me any lip, not in the mood for their nonsense.................

The sooner the Blackhawks get bounced from the playoffs, the better IMO..............

George does MFY,s mean what I think it means? Like Bucky ------- Dent?
You east coast guys speak a different but funny language!
Gary

^&grin. Never count the Wings out. George, I still think your Bruins will win the series but game 1 has already raised eyebrows.

Better keep sharp objects away from George -- and duck!

JUST GOT HOME FROM THE GAME.

THANKS NHL FOR MOVING THE ONE TEAM FROM THE WESTERN CONFERENCE EAST THAT GIVES THE BRUINS FITS WITH THEIR MUCK AND GRIND STYLE OF PLAY, THE DETROIT RED WINGS.

THANKS A LOT, SO GLAD THE BRUINS BROKE THEIR HUMPS DOWN THE STRETCH GETTING THE #1 SEED FOR THE EASTERN CONFERENCE SO THAT THEY COULD PLAY THESE GUYS.

IF THEY LOSE THIS SERIES, I ALREADY TOLD MY GIRLFRIEND TO PICK SOMETHING EXPENSIVE IN THE HOUSE YOUR SICK OF AND WANT A NEW ONE OF SO I CAN SMASH IT INTO 1,000 PIECES.

There, I feel much better.

Unbelievable.

Paval Datysuk, sounds like something you come down with when traveling through Eastern Europe if you are not careful.

Yes it does. Don't get me started on that clown, breaks his bat, so he used Mickey Rivers bat, which was corked and the tomato can hits a home run in that 1978 playoff game. The guy throughout his career couldn't hit my girlfriends weight (110 soaking wet) and he hits a home run that bounced off the TOP of the green monster, never seen anything like it before or since.

Since 1978 and that miracle comeback and playoff win, my hatred for the Yankees burns like the fire from 10,000 suns.

Thanks for signing away Elsbury; LEAVE OUR PLAYERS ALONE, GO SIGN SOME0NE ELSES PLAYERS, OR BETTER YET, TRY DEVELOPING SOME OF YOUR OWN THROUGH YOUR FARM SYSTEM.

ENOUGH ALREADY WITH PILFERING OUR TALENT.

There, I feel better again.......................

Epic post.

Epic post.

Every once and awhile, I come up with a gem.

The original version with all the swears was better, I edited them out.............:wink2:

And like you, the one good thing that will come from the Bruins getting bounced in the first round (if they lose tomorrow, the series and the season are both over) is the coach will be gone.

So sick of his style, he wanted Kessel and Seguin gone as neither fits his system, both are 40+ goal scorers and it's not like the Bruins could use one of those.

1-0.

They played like crap last night, no jump in their game at all, flat, flat, flat.

Flat for the first game of the playoffs, not a good way to start.

Some moron at the bar last night after the game was blaming the absence of Paille and Kelly; really, you lost because your third line center and fourth line left wing were out? Kelly couldn't put the puck in the ocean from the beach if he tried; the first two lines sucked last night, THAT'S why they lost.

And what a joy it was in the bar with two Red Wings fans there, some wrecking ball and his girlfriend, you could have used his Red Wings jersey as a car cover, he ate a plate of wings so fast I thought they were shooting him at dawn.

He was breaking my friends balls too; "1-7-1 in their last nine meetings, you guys have no shot, we're the better team, haw, haw, haw".

He saw the smoke coming from my ears and decided not to break mine.

Smart choice on his part.

Well, the Providence Bruins earned a playoff spot last night. Not to worry George. That game was a fluke. Boston will up the physical play and take away some of that speed. Probably take six games.

George, I don't think anyone really expected Detroit to just roll over for Boston in this series. Well maybe Combat:rolleyes2: Seriously though this is gonna be a well fought series between these 2 teams. Both Detroit and Boston have a lot of pride and tradition and neither team wants to go home packing. Game 1 was hardly a fluke as Combat would suggest. Detroit simply outplayed Boston. They beat them to the puck, won on the boards and did a great job executing plays. The only time was I was concerned was on Detroits second power play when it appeared they fell asleep at the wheel and we're giving Boston short handed opportunities. Other then that Detroit seemed to dictate the flow of the game. As far as the remainder of the series goes, it's just gonna be a grind and the best team will come out ahead. Bostons hard hitting game play or Detroits fast paced finess. In the end I think the physical game of Boston will wear the wings down and Boston will take it in 6 or 7. However with that said I have my toes, fingers and eyes crossed in hopes Detroit can pull this one off any beat the Bruins. After all your red soxs knocked off my Tigers in the playoffs so it would only be fair^&grin. Hopefully Zetterberg and Erickson will be back soon. Lucic may be facing suspension for his cheap shot between the legs on Dekeyser. Word is maybe a game suspension

It is what it is; if they lose to a team that they had 26 more points than, it's no ones fault but their own.

It's sports, not life or death.

Besides, my Father had 42 redwoods on his property he wanted cleared, so I did it today for him with a hatchet, so I blew off some steam as a result................:wink2:

Looks like Seabrook will be missing some games with that hit.
