NHL Playoffs (1 Viewer)

Even the Laughs can't blow this series, they aren't blowing two games in a row.

Right; just like I said.

Maybe the Bruins can petition the league to play game 7 in Toronto as they've played like crap in two of the three games at home so far.

The Sharks come back from down 3-1 to tie the series 3-3 on a double overtime short handed goal on a stretch pass...……………….the defenseman on that play was totally gassed, Fleury gets beat on a weaksauce shot blocker side, he's got to make that save...…………..two game 7's on deck.

Celtics/Bruins/Red Sox all won today...ie, another day in Boston.

Sharks/Warriors/Giants all won today too; pretty cool...…………….

The Sharks game was incredible. Double OT? The only thing that could have been better is if it was a Game 7!!!!!!

Boston vs. San Jose is still alive as is Boston Golden State. Not so sure about the Giants making it to the World Series but until they are eliminated from playoff contention I still hold out hope!!!!!!!

Hey why not; the Red Sox came back from the dead and swept the Doofin Rays over the weekend, only 5 games out, the gashouse gorillas swept the Royals with cheese as well.

Baseball and Hockey are the two sports where you are never out of it until you are actually eliminated.

A wild first round. The top two seeds with a combined 112-41 regular season record go down with a 1-8 playoff record. Three of the four conference champs are gone and all four will be gone unless the Caps win a game seven. Pittsburgh gets swept. Not a betting man's sport. A hot goalie and a couple of lucky breaks can make all the difference in a series. The Dallas goalie is something like 6'7 and he looks like he has a couple of mattresses strapped on his legs. Almost no room to get a puck by him even if he doesn't move.

Your posts never fail to amuse me; I saw Bishop flopping around in the crease last night like a fish out of water, he's a bigger oaf than the oaf the Maple Laughs have in net, all they need to do is stand there, reminds me of that old Mylec Tony Esposito screen I'd put in front of the net, you had basically four slots in each corner to shoot at, that was it...…….it's a joke the way the ghoulies wear enough equipment so that it looks like there are two ghoulies standing in the crease side by side...……..not sure if it's good or bad for hockey that all the top teams are getting knocked out and yes, hockey is the only sport where a hot ghoulie and a bounce here or there can decide a series...…………...by tomorrow night, you could have the Islanders, Hurricanes, Maple Laughs, Blue Jackets in the East and Dallas, the Las Vegas yahoo's (L'il Wayne is a fan; are you ****ting me or what?), Colorado and Blues left standing. I can hear TV sets clicking off nationwide (no offense Gary)…………………….

Bruins win to keep their half of the Massachusetts vs. California in the 4 major sports alive.

Now it is the Sharks turn.

They were the luckier team in the first period, the better team in the third period, Toronto stormed the castle almost the entire second period and had one goal to show for it, they were gassed by about halfway through the third period.

Looks like it will be Columbus in the next round, they have home ice for as long as they survive the Bataan Death March that is the NHL playoffs...………..

I didn't see the Sharks game since it ended in the wee hours but down 0-3 and they come back to win. A ridiculous five minute major penalty that set up four power play goals. As bad or worse than the call the Saints are still crying about. Should have been two minutes. But bad calls are part of the game.

I don't understand for the life of me how Eakin gets 5 minutes for that, Pavelski was stumbling backwards after the hit, the problem is Stastny popped him as he was falling and his coconut hit the ice, if his melon did not hit the ice and he just fell, it's a two minute penalty.

It was a bang/bang play, the golden knights got hosed IMO.

A historic series; this is the first time in franchise history that the golden knights did not make the Stanley Cup finals, Vegas must be in mourning today.

Oh wait; everyone will just either go gambling, hit a strip joint or go to an all you can eat buffet and all will be forgotten.

As a hockey fan, that was clearly not a 5 minute major. I don't even think Sharks fans (myself included) can disagree with that.

San Jose and Vegas now have a pretty good rivalry going. As much as I would like to clown on them one of the announcers last night spoke about what the knights mean to Las Vegas. He spoke about the way they really helped the city heal in light of the mass shooting that took place shortly before the start of the hockey season. As George has alluded to before, when it comes to giving back, hockey players are a different breed when compared to other athletes and celebrities. So as a Sharks fan I'll give a tip of the cap to the Knights for a great series and for being a class organization.

This past November the Blues played the Knights in Vegas and we made the trip to Vegas. The pre game show was spectacular, the crowd was extremely loud and just an over all great experience. This also helped. I brought $150 to gamble, $50 a day, that's it. First day we did not gamble, second day we broke even. Third day down by $30 I told my wife when we loose this last $20 we are done. Put one quarter in a slot machine WON $450. We immediately walked away.

Thank Kadri for getting suspended from the entire Boston series. Why? Because he gave the Leafs a strong 3rd line centre that I don;t think Boston could match. Nylander was used in his place and he is not a centre and has played poorly this year after his holdout. Holdouts that go well into the season rarely work out. Adjusting for the 54 games he did play, his goal production was only 1/3 of his goal production per game played in the previous 2 seasons. Now they are stuck with him for next season. And after series suspensions in the playoffs 2 years in a row, Kadri may get dumped in a preseason trade.

Hockey players are indeed a different breed, they are true warriors, they beat the crap out of each other for 7 games, then get in line like gentlemen and shake hands once the series is over...………...the center ice stick salute is a thing of beauty. They are on a different planet as far as athletes; I've said it before, but to watch the game on TV gives you little appreciation for how fast the game and the players are, they fly up and down the ice, they are without a doubt well conditioned athletes, I have major respect for hockey players. It feels like the playoffs have been going for a month but it's only been one series, playoff hockey is something else...………………...

Despite the Kadri suspension, the Leafs led 1-0, 2-1, 3-2 with not one, but two chances to close out the series, one of them and home and they could not do it.

It's a festivus miracle the Capitals managed to win a Stanley Cup, what a dumpster fire of an organization, another playoff collapse, another game 7 loss at home.

Smoltzy looked average at best in this series.

Tampa, Pittsburg, Washington, Calgary, Nashville, Las Vegas all out in the first round.

Incredible.

No kidding, but I can tell you this Penguin fan is laughing quite loud right now at the locals. Caps should have never lost this series, they looked at it like a foregone conclusion and with the Pens getting swept, that ended up being their downfall. Their play and intensity changed as if they had it made. Well, only sport I know where I think I counted all the #1's are gone and only 2 #2's are left? Incredible.

Still irritated that the Pens never showed up. Last half of the season was a downward spiral. Looked like they needed vacation, well, they "earned" it.

No return to the Cup finals for either team from last year, unlike the other 3 major sports that had at least one team return to their championships in back to back years.

Hockey truly is the last remaining sport that has any true unpredictably to it.

Today a story was floated that apparently DeBrusk had to delete his social media accounts during the series because he and his family were receiving death threats.

Boy, he's got a lot of nerve putting his face in an area where Kadri could mash it...………….just when I thought I'd seen everything when it comes to sports;blame the victim why don't you, holy smokes.
