High stick side, goal.

High glove side, goal.

Problem solved.

My girlfriend called me a short time ago asking if I wanted to go to the game tonight, I told her thanks but no thanks, the Rangers style of play pinching four men down in front of Mr GQ and blocking 900 shots will put me to sleep, this game, Hell this series has 1-0, 0-0 going into OT written all over it, boring hockey, not playoff hockey.

If I were the Bruins, I'd have Chara uncork a couple of 108MPH slapshot shoulder high, we'll see how long the Rangers want to get in front of that shot.

The talk radio guys are playing this up like it's some big time hockey rivarly; seriously?

The last time these two teams met in the playoffs was 40 years ago, that's hardly a rivalry...................

I've got great sources for tickets; my uncle used to be head of security at the Garden/Fleet Center, so there you go, plus my girlfriends company gets tickets for most of the games, she got me three tickets for last nights game.

I'm amazed it took the Bruins 6 games, 49 minutes and 18 seconds to figure out how to beat the Toronto goalie; get traffic in front of him, he's a rebound giver upper machine, not to mention he sits low to the ice, high stick side and he's toast.

I'm going Thursday night, can't wait to see all the bandwagon Rangers fans come out of the woodwork for the game; have to give them credit, they have one of the best jerseys in hockey, that vertical "Rangers" logo is classic in red, white and blue...............look for seven 2-1, 3-2, 1-0 games this series, old time hockey for sure...............

George, remember the old Boston Garden. A person would have had to been there to believe the angles. They had upper levels seats where you could only see 1 net and the area around it. Then there was the bank of seats that were behind walls. You ended up watching the games standing in the concourses. How about having to go through the mens rooms to get to other seat sections. If you had upper level, the attendents would tell you to go up untill your nose started bleeding. ( thus the beloved sports term..nosebleed seats ). Obstructed view seats meant exactly no view. Those were the good old days when my brother and I would buy a dozen N.Y. System wieners and watch Bobby Orr and team on channel 38? Do not know when I started to root for the Rangers, but I did grow up on the Bruins..Just reliving the past... Michael

Michael,
You have a great memory, it was channel 38 that carried the Bruins games and yes, the old Garden was a dump, but the seats in the middle of the ice, upper deck were spectacular, you literally hung out over the ice and looked strait down, you could almost reach out and touch the players, the seats in the new Garden are so far back off the ice in the upper deck, it's a shame.

And if you want to see nosebleed seats, try the ones in the upper, upper deck, you can rent binoculars to see the ice from up there if you want to, horrible seats..................

Two down, two to go.

So far, so good. The Rangers offense is pretty average, all four of their goals have come off of Bruin turnovers, they need to manage the puck better.

I am really stunned at the Rangers goalie, he's looked pretty average so far, 8 goals in two games, some of those have been really soft, others he had no chance on, plus the Bruins have hit the post/crossbar 5 times.

The Bruins are rushing the puck a lot more than they usually do, the Rangers have to manage those breakouts a lot better.

Will be interesting to see how things play out Tuesday night, the Bruins need to survive the first period and keep doing what they've been doing in the first two games.................

This man will haunt you {eek3}

This is why I don't talk smack until the cup is in hand. I find the best way to root for my Wings is just to hold my breath, cross my toes and pray. In the mean time Im still rooting for that dream matchup of Boston and Detroit. This is the last year and then Detroit will be in the east so its now or never.

One exception to this is if you know someone who is a die hard Blues fan and they get knocked off in the first round^&grin Just kiddin Gary, I would have loved to see the Blues knock off the Kings.

Senators made it a series last night, scoring with less than a minute to tie it and then winning it in OT, both teams were flying up and down the ice, a very good game.

Ok, back to crickets chirping here.........................

Man, you have to have fun. You can't worry about the consequences or be timid. Rangers are not that good a team. Regular season doesn't lie. Hopefully, they can make a series of it at MSG. If they don't, there's always Mets and Angels baseball. Oh, wait, scotch that. If not, there is always Jets football {eek3} Oh, man, am I in trouble as a sports fan

I doubt the Rangers can come back twice from 0-2, but if they get the first one at home anything is possible. The Bruins have shown they can go into a major funk. They are not unbeatable. They were up 3-1 on the Leafs and needed a miracle win in game seven. I think this series goes six games.

Great win for the Red Wings. Up 2-1 on the Blackhawks. They got a lot of help from the refs waiving off the tying goal, but a win is a win.

Not sure how that was interference, he was checked into the crease and I didn't see anything that he did to impeed the goalies ability to stop that shot, looked like the shot bounced off the goalie.

Didn't matter as the wings scored 3 goals, game 4 is going to be interesting...............

Series is over. You could see it coming :(

Lundqvist did his part, standing on his head in the first period, stopping not one but two clean breakaways, Rangers defense is just awful, numerous turnovers and odd man rushes.

That crowd was in a coma, talk about a non factor.

If I learned anything in the Flyers series from 2010, it's not over until the fourth game is won and in the books.

A goalie like yours can win games on his own, so we'll see what happens..........

There were times tonight when the teams were at even strength when the Bruins looked like they were on the power play. You knew it was just a matter of time.

The Kings got manhandled by the Sharks. And then the refs take away a clean goal in one of the worst calls of the playoffs. That turned out to be difference.

The Bruins look very good at this point...They are peaking at the right time....a hot goalie can turn a series around....but can only do so much.

A couple of huge games tonight. The Kings and Blackhawks are in must win modes. The Kings are having troubling generating offense and are only still around because they have the best goalie in hockey. They have to win at home and give themselves two chances to close out. If the Red Wings can go up 3-1, it's going to be a deep hole for Chicago and a major upset in the works. If Chicago wins and evens the series, though, the Wings may be toast.

Well the NY Rangers are still alive but just barely...in order to come back they will need the continued help of Boston's Goalie:wink2:....And yes Combat that was one of the worst calls in these playoffs......way too fast with the whistle on that one....Very Bad.
