Like the way the shots are arranged from close up to expansive. Nice collection to say the least. Robin.

I like the grass plugs...I wish I knew how to make them...or where to buy them...
Mike,
I'm sure Bob will correct me if I'm off, but I think they are JG Miniatures products, as are the trees. Which incidently, look awesome.

Beautiful scene.Really evokes the terror of a war party stealthly coming through the forest.Excellent use of different manufacturers,he really has a knack for that.

Simply Superb as always. Wonderful use of figures and the "scenery" is just the best. Patience can be such a virtue !!!!

Hi Mike

Am pleased those grass plugs arrived safely in Texas-pretty swift delivery too it would appear.
The supplier did not have any of the XL leafy shrub plugs in stock only the L size which are a tad too small for our 60mm figures. That's why I only included one sheet instead of a double. But you are right as you can see in my War Party scene the XL woodland shrub plugs are perfect to mix with the grass. However, I have pre-ordered a few XL shrub sheets from him. Subsequently, if he gets them back in stock he will contact me. If he does I'll ship them off to you double quick. Glad to have helped you out with your diorama work.

Bob...

thanks again...

this forum has the nicest people on it...

if your dealer does get them back in stock somewhere in the future...
I would definitely like a pack or two...
I have spent hours on the Internet...
I just can't find the X-large ones in the US...
mine are too small...they look like weeds...

did you get a PM from me?

Bob, like Mike says, your ground work is in a class all it's own. It is always great to see. Mike, I have found tufts up to 12MM of flock grass in the US. Let me know if you need the information. Chris

Chris...I'm definitely interested...I have found 12mm before...but never bought them...but I think the ones Bob sent me are bigger than that......the boxes he sent them in have no markings on the actual size...they just say "X-Large Grass Tufts"...I wish I knew what size his were...just for comparison's sake...if his are 12mm...then I know they are available and I can find them in the US...would you share your source with me...I would like a look...regards...Michael

Mike, sent you a PM. Hope it helps. By the way, you make some incredible buildings. Chris

Thanks for resurrecting this thread, great dios and narrative. Great to see a masters work !

Hello Bob, I only just stumbled across your thread and iam sorry to have missed it.I too have a interest in this period and might well have used some of your ideas from your well constructed dioramas.I quite liked how your dioramas told a story and i enjoyed going through them.Regards Greg.

Nous sommes tout Sauvages (We are all savages) was graffiti carved into a tree or an unfinished boat (depending which source you use) by a French/Canadian fur trapper on the Illinois frontier sometime during the early 18th century.
