Hi Martyn,

As expected, you do keep your ear close to the ground.

I must be missing something, but is there Set EQ36A on offer ?

Thanks, Raymond.:)

Hi Raymond

No you haven't missed it, never seen that set come up for sale yet.

Cheers

Martyn:)

Set#EQ36 – ROCKET BATTERY was very popular.

23 bids with the winner paying $355 or £233.18

I wonder how much the add on set#EQ36A would go for?

Cheers

Martyn:)

Is that not quite reasonable for such a highly sought after set?
I seem to remember a few Crimean "at the guns" sets reaching similar values a few weeks ago.

Very reasonable Damian. What about the Dukes Standard single figure fetching over a thousand. Just glad I collected my AZW Trophy when I did;)

Cheers

I think the winner is pretty lucky to get it at USD $355.00.

The first 2 of 3 "At the Guns" sets went higher, close to USD $500.00 if I recall correctly.

The London show is just around the corner.

Best of Luck, Raymond.:)

Hi Martyn,

It has been listed for less than 24 hours and the bidding has been brisk.

There are still 9 plus days to go and it has reached just over 4x the start price.

But that is how Trophy goes on eBay......:(

Thanks, Raymond.:)

Hi Raymond

I think this is going to follow the current trend and go higher and higher;)

Does anyone have a picture of EQ36a

It was a very low starting price. Trophy of Texas lists the set as $145. So we are not in the realms of exhorbitant pricing ...... yet.

Hi Martyn,

Thanks very much for the update.

There appears to be a change in high bidder strategy.

Have you seen the Molly Pitcher set ?

Cheers, Raymond.:)

Raymond,

I do not think the AR stuff brings as much as the classic Trophy British Empire sets.

Hi Raymond and John

Spotted that one, no bids on it yet. I think John is right, the AR sets don't seem as popular as AZW, Sudan and Boxer.

Cheers

Martyn:)

Hi JW,

I am not sure why the ARW and ACW ranges should be any less popular than the AZW, Egypt/Sudan, Boxer Rebellion ranges etc.

Perhaps, non-US collectors are less familiar with the history of the American Revolutionary War and the Civil War.

Kind Regards, Raymond.:)

Perhaps it has more to do with what is " IN " (or as I like to say "flavour of the month") At the moment AZW and the Sudan figures seem very popular from a whole host of manufactureers.
