If I'm being honest, not my favorite sculpt by aeroart. That being said, I think the painting of the clothing and cape are amazing! In addition, Aethelflaed is a remarkable woman in history. These things trumped and misgivings I had and she had to be purchased!

Pope Urban II w/ Crusader Sword and Pastoral Staff AeroArt/St.Petersburg Collection 3331
I absolutely love this figure! Everything about it is great. This particular one had some issue with his sword and hand. I repaired as best as i could and for the price paid, I am a-ok with the damage. Someday i may replace it with a pristine copy, but for now, just happy to have him!

Here is a figure that upon release, I said, wow, that's nice, but no way I am going to pay that much for it.
Time and again, i kept seeing it at shows and...YUP, I caved!!!
Just an absolutely stunning figure. I often say it, but this time, boy do I mean it, pictures don't do this justice at all. The detail in person is unreal and when the light hits off the "gems" in the cape, it's amazing!!! If I have one "gripe" (minor), I wish they spent more time on the painting of the horse. The figure is so detailed, but the horse to me is fairly blah

Nice find of Pope Urban II Zach! It's harder to find the version you have vs the white/gray/red one. Mine had a problem w/ the sword hand as well, and I repaired it. Aeoart has one up on ebay now too.

I agree, not an award winning sculpt, but I bought one too because it's a female and also because of who it depicts as you noted.

Love the figure but green is not the color of the Holy Roman Emperor, its gotta be red baby the color of Royalty and other worldly power. :wink2:
