Sherman is coming (2 Viewers)

There has been hardly, if not none complaints about First Legions creations. So I think this one will be near or will be perfectly made. There has just been too many Sherman's been made across the Manufacturers, thats all.

I don't really see the logic in what your saying. Personally, I have read your comments in the K&C section and, although they are interesting I don't agree with them. You can't have separate sections where the good and bad are separated it just does not work and you will have a flawed representation of the piece in question. I don't also agree that stating an item is incorrect in detail colour etc is a hobby in itself and that pleasure is or can be gained from it. This is what we are supposed to be discussing not just saying what a lovely set lets just pay £300 because the manufacturers were nice enough to make it??

I also cannot for the life see how someone saying X is wrong with this can make a collector return an item. If it affects one that much then obviously the person actually cares about detail etc and, should be moaning at the manufacturer for making pants stuff not the person who informs them of it. I buy lots of things I know that are wrong and still like them sufficiently to keep them and, whether everyone on the forum disliked what I bought I would still like it

I think it comes down to tolerance for others opinions they never bore me no matter what they say as I am interested in what everyone has to say even if I am diametrically opposed to what they say. I want to hear what they say and why they feel that way. To segregate any part of a discussion is stupidity in the extreme and ignores any mature dialogue between adults.

I don't want to hear the bad things is a rather unrealistic way to live IMO. If we can't talk toy soldiers warts and all on a toy soldier forum then heaven help us

As I have said before if people don't like to hear something they are buying is wrong speak to the manufacturers trying to attack, belittle or nullify any comments from the messenger is and can only be stated as censorship because its not palatable for some. I never read anywhere in the rules of this forum where discussing toy soldiers was only allowed when it was positive

I don't want to spend £300 on a Sherman or close to it to find its incorrect so, people like Gary who know more about Sherman's have my appreciation when they discuss them I think we should be grateful to be allow an informed choice when we are thinking about parting with chunky money. Do we not do that when we buy other consumables or are people's homes and cars falling apart because they only believed the good things the salespeople told them as the reality was placed into a separate catalogue?
Mitch

ected at you, if a Manufacturer keeps making mistakes, and it is troubling someone. And has become a scab, Why do they keep coming back??, , why do they return?, do they like scratching that scab, or just live looking for something that is off, on any given piece?, Do not buy what you do not like, or see that something is wrong, The Manufacturer's make what they want, what ever we might say, if that is not obvious then.......
And its kinda hard to skip a criticism, when its below the heading. Some people prefer the happiness that a piece they been waiting for to be made, and not get ruined by a critic. I have asked in another part of this forum, that if anything is wrong with a model, please do not criticize it and ruin it for everyone on the same thread, Post the Criticism in a separate thread. If anyone wants to read it then it does not force anyone to actually read it, not unless that is the intention, for no one to have the choice but to read it.... We could go at this for on and on. As I asked everyone, Are you for or against a separate thread , so it does not ruin it for people that do not care to know.[/QUOTE]

If you don't like bad news but really want that model, completely positive critiques are available for $20.

A very good question.

The critique service will be done completely and directly by me. The good news only critiques will be written by well known supporters of specific manufacturers - hence the $20 cost

Sammy:

Good luck with that one. Start a post on this forum about the bacon and eggs you had for breakfast and someone who watches the Food Network or knows how to work Google will tell you what you did wrong in the preparation and consumption of your meal.

I guess I have become use to it Jason, don't even know why I commented earlier in this thread, my favorite treefrog critiquers are always hear to spread the good word on what is wrong with something, and will tell you so again, again, again, again, again, again, again, again and again so just a different thread in a different section except wash, rinse and repeat, but hey my bacon this morning came out crispy on the edges just like I like it, or is it suppose to be crispy all over?? Please someone help me figure out how I should cook my bacon please??....Sammy

This is simply not true. There has been all sorts of critiques of FL products on this forum, if that's what you mean by "complaints". Are you implying that since this forthcoming Sherman is a FL product it is somehow immune from critical analysis?

Yes there have been many Sherman's made across manufacturers. However, FL is not among those.

If anyone finds something to critiqued anything about any First Legion products, that anyone is in a small minority, one that someone has been mentioned focuses on a one wrong flag, on a sea of three thousand pieces. Someone who just sees a small dot on a blackboard, instead seeing the whole blackboard. Someone that might have waited for a piece to be made, but disliked it because one emblem was wrong. And in the process lost the opportunity to get the one piece that he has been waiting for.

The truth or 'a truth'?

Wow, I just realized I started this thread as a simple heads up about the Sherman coming out! I think I created a monster!

Gentle friends,

In the beginning, this thread was simply intended to draw attention to a new product. But, the discussion seems to have become increasingly personal. Please return to the original topic and enjoy a meaningful discussion of the new Sherman. If the discussion continues to become more and more personal, an intervention in the thread will be required.

Thanks for your understanding.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat
