Snow Tiger (1 Viewer)

Don't wait too long on this one, all of you have been asking for this specific tank for some time. I know, atleast in my neck of the woods, that the Tunisian Tiger did not last that long at all.

There are going to be 999 Snow Tigers produced. As popular as this piece will be, it is somewhat expensive and with 999 of them, I doubt it will sell out overnight. 999 is still a fairly large production run

I've ordered mine - from the photos it looks to be the best Tiger K&C has ever done, but IMO not the best set. I think that still goes to the K&C Winter Tiger.

Terry

The first winter TIGER crew with the New winter TIGER will look unreal IMO.

I am very much looking forward to this Tiger. There is no reason KC could not follow this release with figures or scenery that would keyhole with the Tiger to allow us to create scenes. Time will tell. -- Al

Beautiful tank! Thank goodness i ordered the US winter ambulance, because my troops are going to need it!

Just placed my order with our Happy Hosts!:D I'm not taking any chances with this one!;)

Running out of room Andy!! Well, maybe just one more:D

You got some oldies there Lawrence. Do you also have the Tunisian & Kursk Tigers? I'm definitely getting that snow Tiger too.

K/C Tiger Tanks sure have come a long way:) especially with the new Snow Tiger.....much improved with the start of the Tunsian Tiger forward....Older K/C Tigers with the exception of the Winter Tiger with crew.....fall far short of current K/C IMO

Vezzolf....

It depends on perspective. I certainly prefer older K&C. I like the detail of newer stuff but for me I would choose the older stuff all day long.

Mitch, Remember however older K/C was off on scale as well.... I believe the first K/C Tiger in true 1:30 scale was the Tunsian Tiger followed by the King Tiger....This new Snow Tiger will probably be K/C's best yet..

Vezzolf...

They changed in scale from release to release that was the attraction of early K&C I like the naivety and what you could call crudness in the early sets. plenty of character. I think your right the Tunisian Tiger was the first proper size tiger 1 the new Tiger 1 is nice and its good they have gone for the green/white camo that the germans used to great use but, I would have liked to see a different Tiger 1, maybe a late war version. If you are going to the trouble of making a new mould IMO it would have been better to go for a different version than so similar to the kursk.

Its a good release as I have said with better wheel detail by painting the drive sprockets brings the wheel base to life and, the crew as with the last winter SL are the best thing about the tank IMO.

The last three Tiger 1 have been apart from HB the best released to date its hard to call which one of the three is best all have their good points.

Hi Mitch. Interesting that you mention the black paint that highlights the drive sprocket. I found the Kursk Tiger looked a little off because there was no black paint at this location. I painted the gaps and the Tiger just looks a lot better with that black highlight. It was pretty easy and quick to do and is a vast improvement even though the purist collector will probably be horrified. -- Al

Lancer...

I did five repaints of the kursk tiger into winter tigers and the front and rear drive wheels on all of them took about 1 hour to do and, as you say, it just looks so much better. I have said before the only complaint I have heard myself about K&C was the wheels of AFV's. Looks like this defect so, to speak, has been consigned to history

Would be nice to see some early war winter germans to go with the new Tiger, perhaps in the vain of the Winter 88 crew, all white with red armbands?

Thing is they would make great targets those red rings for any crack shot or, half decent one.
Nice figures and Tiger by the way

I do have those Tigers as well as the latest release. I also have the first wood Tiger and will try to fit them all in the photo the next time I get to play with them:) Would like to see photos of your Tiger collection. All the best, Lawrence

I agree with a lot of you that this might be the best K&C Tiger yet. It looks awesome in the photos, and the crew is fantastic as well. I'm thinking I'm going to probably add this to my collection... will have to forgo some other purchases for a while if I do though. My current budget won't allow this with my normal purchases. Oh well, in the meantime until this comes out, I have another Tiger from Pz Abt 502 that will have to do for now.:)
