Trying again. Watching S.Korea rout Greece 2-0. Tis a massacre. Now, about that buzzing or that swarm of bees as someone referred to it. It is my recollection that this is the noise that Zulu warriors made. British soldiers reported that the oncomoing warriors sounded like a swarm of angry bees. Must be something in the water. Any Zulu War experts that can be more specific? -- Al

I think they are called Vuvuzelas,a kind of plastic trumpet.I quite enjoyed them yesterday, but must confess they are starting to get to me a bit!

Apparently organizers have said the game we are watching right now (South Korea v Greece)was the most difficult to shift tickets for.

Yesterday France no goal, today Greece no goal,...if you are a little worryed about "power" of European countries do not be because tommorow Slovenija will "kick some ***" and make European football proud again!!!!

go SLOVENIJAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Koreans are always tenacious. I don't know if they can play with the big boys but we'll see.

I'm looking forward to see what Argentina can do, one of the favorites.

Enjoying the Argentina game. Shots everywhere even if they are not going in. The Nigerian goalie is playing well, at this point, the 70 minute mark. With these low scoring games, no team is out of it even if outplayed. Must be frustrating to outplay a team and only lead 1-0, where any mistake can be fatal. As to the scoring, why, on this high level of competition, is there no provision for breaking a tie game? Why are ties allowed? Surely some score, of any type, that crowns a winner, is better than a tie? -- Al

Take in consideration that there are a lot of money into this. everybody wants to go forward, so they play on the European Style, safely way to play. We secure the midfield and try to go forward carefully, and when some team score, everybody stay on the defensive waiting for contra-attacks.

This is the new way-fashion of the international soccer. But I hope that the second round will be more creative.

Oh well, another tie. It was an entertaining game with another ending that was disappointing. They should shoot it out until someone wins. -- Al

Well played England and well played USA,we should never have given that goal away, but the US played well.A draw is not the end of the world. What with that and Obama and Cameron making peace today,I'm quitely satisfied:)

Congratulations to the U.S. team.
Although the goal was a "lucky" one they played very well to make sure that it stays a tie at least.
Looking forward to their next game.
