Not quite correctly labeled, but who is complaining: Matt does Rome.

http://www.firstlegionltd.com/54mmgloryofrome.aspx

The figures as usual look stunning, the choice of period and characters is just superb.

I did ask to rename the range "The Power of the Germanic Tribes (and some of their enemies)".

We will see. Now, let's get the pre-orders in ....

OMG!!!!!!!! Thank you very, very, very much. Awesome I cant wait to get a hold of these. They look outstanding, put me down for a Legions worth :D

GAAAHHHHHHHHHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAH

I just figured out how I am going to spend my funds this year and they go and do this to me!!!! I cannot post all the expeltives coming out of my mouth right now- I think I created a couple new curse words in a couple different languages ^&grin^&grin^&grin

Thank you First Legion, I am your new fanboy!! %^V

Thank you so very much, this is gonna be great!!

STANDS ALONE!!

I had a feeling that this was gonna happen so I set a reserve amount aside just in case this scenario presented itself. I already went to the website to try to pre-order but it looks like I'll have to wait until April to get my Pre-order in. CANNOT WAIT MUST HAVE NOW :D

This is a fantastic line- Legio I- Great for the Dacian wars!!!!!

Ok- so if you read closely, it says 1/30th scale??? I was always under the impression that they are either a.) 1/32nd scale or b.) a small 1/30th scale- is this a size increase??

Also, did anyone notice the circular bases- those legionaires look ready to bust up some chumps!! Great poses!!!

AND AN OPTIO!!! NO ONE HAS GIVEN US AN OPTIO!!! GREAT JOB GUYS!!!

LEGIO UNUS VICTRIX!!!

I think they will be the same size as FLs other releases. The Roman line is still categorized under 54mm so I think they make them on their 1/30 scale which is almost different in every company you look at. But in the end does it really matter, these fellas could have been life size and I still would have bought in ^&grin

I like how some of the figures have the Imperial Gallic helmets while others are wearing the Roman coolus Brass helmet. They look very well done!

Excellent choice Mr. Pavone, you are opening a huge theatre on toy soldiers, so many variations of equipments, clothes, battles scenes, eras etc. . I personally like the Aquilfer figure, looking forward to see the progression of this series.
Congratulations.

I noted that as well, looks great. Am interested to see how the Germanics progress too- wonder if we will get some more snazzy pants like other companies have produced in the past.

Very nice figures. Chris glad you have the range you wanted.

Cheers mate!!

BTW- They just uploaded another image of a legionaire with two pilum.......

also, as mentioned on the website, I Minervia put in work in Parthia- the East of India Persians would work for this time period and would size up fairly well with FL..... just a thought.....

Hi, Chris,

The range is same size as our other ranges, basically true 1/30th or 60mm.

As for the Optio, we actually have two Optios ^&grin (and an Imaginifer,Vellixifer, Tribune, Centurion, Trumpeter, casualties, vignettes, etc. - we'll show all in good time!). The first release will be the Legionnaires and then we'll immediately follow up with the command type figures. After that, it's the Super Glorious, in the end totally triumphant, Ancient Germans (how's that Andanna?) :wink2:

Glad folks like the new range.

Best,

Matt

This is great, I had a feeling these were coming our way, and I definitely want them to come my way! They look great, and just think of the possibilities this range opens!:wink2:

Congrats and many thanks are in order,
Paulo

Thank you for the clarification, though I wish you would have announced the release about 3 weeks ago- I could have raised my hourly rate on my newest client then...perhaps a contract modification is in order ^&grin%^V

How's this for a GREAT WEEK:

1.) After living in my parents second house in Carlisle, following our house fire, my family was informed that we can move back into our "new home on April 1st (not a April Fools joke either :))- let me tell you- 5 people and a yellow lab in an 800 sq foot house for 5 months will test the hardiest of families %^V

2.) Just signed my second contract since I launched out as a sole propriertor in July- with a MHMR provider- am really excited about that as I feel like I can use my talents to assist those individuals directly;

3.) Finally- FL gives us ROMANS!!

<<sigh>> life.is....FLIPPIN AWESOME!! ^&grin

I can beat that:

1) I became American citizen
(The US apparently has real issues with Immigration laws)

2) Finally- FL gives us Germanic Warriors!!

^&grin
