Many of the maidens would soon be widows

Martyn,
Very nice set-up of your Zulu sets... It's nice to concentrate on the Zulus instead of the British, once in a while. After all, they were celebrating the Harvests at that point and had subjects from all over the Kingdom at the Royal Homestead.

I think in honor of the anniversary everyone should try squeezing in Zulu or Zulu Dawn (or both) this week sometime!

Men of Harlech stop your dreaming
Can't you see their spear points gleaming
See their warrior pennants streaming
To this battlefield
Men of Harlech stand ye steady
It cannot be ever said ye
For the battle were not ready
Welshmen never yield
From the hills rebounding
Let these war cries sounding
Summon all at Cambria's call
The mighty force surrounding
Men of Harlech on to glory
This will ever be your story
Keep these burning words before ye
Welshmen will not yield

Vick

Lookouts check for the oncoming Zulu. These soldiers would soon be used to try and keep the Zulu snipers heads down on the Oskarberg

Suddenly, during the preparation of the defences of Rorke’s Drift, Corporal Anderson NNC realises he has a urgent appointment elsewhere……………A well aimed shot quickly brings him down.

Very nicely done Martyn with the last two photos and story line. The following features some events that may have taken place 130 years ago on this date at the encampment of Isandlwana and the Mission Station at Rorkes Drift.........The Lt.

Very nice Martyn, I take it that wagon in the background was replaced with burnt one? Love how the zulu is falling backwards off the front of it also. does he plug into the wagon or is it a good balancing act?

Got to see them Martyn while visiting and posting on the RDVC site and what a great selection of sets and figures putting it all together and I enjoyed seeing it the second time around as much as the first............The Lt.
