Cetshwayo is extremely pleased that his army has done so well against the army of the Great White Queen

Great excitement and celebration starts when one of the captured guns is bought into camp.
The witch doctor begins the celebration, convincing the gathered Impis that bullets will not penetrate their cow hide shields and the dancing goes on well into the night.

To finish the celebration of victory a captured Xhosa warrior is bought out to fight Cetshwayos champion, there will only be one victor

Very young Zulus try to get as close as they can see the action

The Zulu do not know but their celebrations will be relatively short lived, on July 4th the Zulu Impis were defeated just outside of Ulundi and the guns were recovered, they were never used by the Zulu against the British Army.

Cheers

Must agree with Mike, just wonderful, it is great to see these Trophy sets. I really enjoy seeing the non-combat sets. And the story is great too.

Martyn,

Thanks very much for this excellent mini-series of "Trying to Save the Gun".

Perhaps, you will put all 4 Parts into your album.

I have never seen the "Lost Helmet" figure before..... it looks Trophy.

Cheers, Raymond.

Many thanks Mike, Brian, Raymond and Michael.

Good idea about adding it to my albums Raymond and the figure you asked about is part of Trophy Hand to Hand set#HZ25 "Load fast or die"

Cheers

Fantastic
One error. It would not have been a Xhosa warrior.
Proably a Swazi. Xhosa were from the Eastern Cape quite far away from Zululand.
But otherwise really great
