Being gaslighted by the media over such things as polls, or better yet, crowd sizes at events.

It's shameful and disgusting, but real journalism in this country has been dead for about 16 years and counting.

The propaganda machine is in high gear. Our media is arguably worse than that in Russia because they are not being coerced into lying. You have to give them credit, though. It appears to be working. My favorite of many bizarre events from the Olympics including the drag queens and men fighting women was the US athlete who competed despite having COVID. The woke OIC let him participate noting that "COVID is being treated like the flu now, so there is no obligation for any special measures or notifications." I seem to remember a certain politician saying something along those lines once and being eviscerated by our press. But I guess someone waved a magic wand and it went away. Way to go press!

The Red Sox gave him a two game without pay suspension, the league has yet to act, I'm sure they'll suspend him further.

He's going to get razzed and heckled in every ballpark for a long, long time.

The guy was riding him all game long and he snapped, a very poor choice of words to say the least.

Fans here are irate, they want him traded, talk radio was on fire all day long.

I didn't listen for one second, but it's been everywhere on radio and TV even on non sports related programs.

Don't get me wrong I do feel for the parents, relatives of the people who OD. There has been a "war on drugs" for as long as I can remember and as long as people will pay for illicit drugs we will have a problem. Again I'm not saying don't try to stop it but it will never go away. Just try to control it the best we can. Years ago it was heroin, then crack cocaine now fentanyl. A few years from now it will be some other drug, and endless cycle.

I sympathize with families that lose loved ones to any tragedy.

However those that died on 9/11 simply went to work on a particular morning and those that died in Vietnam were killed in service to their country.

Comparing those events to drug overdoses is maligned in my opinion. Going to work or going to war is usually not a choice, sticking a needle in your arm is. One may lack the will power to not do it, but it is still a choice.

Clearly the folks at the top are too busy enjoying the kick backs of the so-called illegal drug industry and lets not forget who kicked that off.......then we have big Pharma who along with their 'special friends', happily screw the average joe over repeatedly and create customers for life.
