"And I did, and the next 5 minutes was dedicated to reading the letters, dates, request, notifications and what ever the hell else they wanted in order for me to PROVE that I wasn't making this up. She was rude, unprofessional and most of all her attitude was ANNOYING. Why? Because her attitude didn't need to be spewed over the phone to me. Having a bad day? Take a break and get a Starbucks. Mad at your job? Find another one. Mad at the world? Get counseling. But don't be a jerk to me. That was just an excerpt from a longer conversation, but what stuck in my mind was her attitude and the rush to say, "Is there any thing else I can do for you?"What makes the whole situation worse is that she ended our conversation by saying:
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE and hung up."
John I was wondering if this whole exchange was tongue in cheek. As a fellow vet I'm truly sorry you experienced such an unprofessional VA rep. No excuse for that. However, I've been enrolled in the VA healthcare system for about the past 9 mos. In that time I've been treated with the utmost courtesy and respect. My experience has been nothing but positive.
I hope you meet with better treatment the next time you deal with the VA. Chris
