Things that annoy me (3 Viewers)

Steve:

Great post.

To be clear I am not saying that going half naked to anything is acceptable.

At the same time I do not feel disrespected if the guy sitting next to me at a baseball game is wearing shorts and a t-shirt instead of a suit.

Nothing wrong with shorts and a tee shirt Jason, us Kiwis live our summers in them not to mention our Aussie cousins....

PS. L&P is a NZ soft drink and a 'puku' is Maori for belly. Great retro 70's ad. enjoy.

Jason it's an interesting conversation.
Casual dress is nearly everywhere whatever we may or may not think, though the definitely is a difference between Casual to feel relaxed in and even do things easier, since suits tend to be restricting, since the cut of them worn today, while being smart in todays terms, worn in the boardroom is very different to those of a hundred years ago in which working people at least, had far fewer clothes and so suits back then had to allow for much more movement.

I think perhaps the changes we see in people's clothing is a reflection of that which we don't see, what we see in the changes of society and the manners and attitudes of people and where as tolerance of others whose manners may have not been to our own liking had been something minor and just made for us to all rub along without constant arguments has been usurped by those who use our tolerance against us to their own ends and I think many have reached the end of their tether.

Manners make the man they say and while having what look to be clean fashionable clothes may make you feel good, taking them down to have a dump on the floor of a moving train is still not tolerated !
I should add he was wrested to the ground by men not allowing this man to do this in front of women and children and arrested and taken away and his mental health being looked into. I think I know what most civilised people think about his mental health by doing this.
But then doing this would be acceptable in some cultures.IMG-20250810-WA0000.jpg
