Things that annoy me (2 Viewers)

Steve:

Great post.

To be clear I am not saying that going half naked to anything is acceptable.

At the same time I do not feel disrespected if the guy sitting next to me at a baseball game is wearing shorts and a t-shirt instead of a suit.

-Jason.
Nothing wrong with shorts and a tee shirt Jason, us Kiwis live our summers in them not to mention our Aussie cousins....

PS. L&P is a NZ soft drink and a 'puku' is Maori for belly. Great retro 70's ad. enjoy.

Jason it's an interesting conversation.
Casual dress is nearly everywhere whatever we may or may not think, though the definitely is a difference between Casual to feel relaxed in and even do things easier, since suits tend to be restricting, since the cut of them worn today, while being smart in todays terms, worn in the boardroom is very different to those of a hundred years ago in which working people at least, had far fewer clothes and so suits back then had to allow for much more movement.

I think perhaps the changes we see in people's clothing is a reflection of that which we don't see, what we see in the changes of society and the manners and attitudes of people and where as tolerance of others whose manners may have not been to our own liking had been something minor and just made for us to all rub along without constant arguments has been usurped by those who use our tolerance against us to their own ends and I think many have reached the end of their tether.

Manners make the man they say and while having what look to be clean fashionable clothes may make you feel good, taking them down to have a dump on the floor of a moving train is still not tolerated !
I should add he was wrested to the ground by men not allowing this man to do this in front of women and children and arrested and taken away and his mental health being looked into. I think I know what most civilised people think about his mental health by doing this.
But then doing this would be acceptable in some cultures.IMG-20250810-WA0000.jpg

Speaking of jeans. Remember when in the late 70's, early 80's designer jeans were a must for any fashion conscious person. Calvin Klein, Vanderbilt, were a must and they were not cheap. In actuality you were paying all that extra money for the designer label on the jeans. I confess I owned a few pairs. But then I also wore a gold chain and platform shoes!

Yup, sure do............Calvin Klein's were a must and yes, not cheap either.

Saw a video of the first female MLB umpire in action the other night, she was behind the plate........first pitch was a good 6" inside/off the plate; STRIKE!!.

She'll fit right in with the rest of them.

The idiots throwing adult toys on the court during WNBA games and the media hysteria about the idiots throwing adult toys on the court. Hard to tell which is worse. These imbeciles should be arrested. End of story. No 15 minutes of fame. I'm not sure why any numbskull would do this much less numerous numbskulls.

Funny I seen that video clip and thought the same thing. To be honest I have mixed feelings about women umpires, referees in men's pro sports. But what I do have a problem with the NHL Seattle Kracken have a female assistant coach. I'm sure she fits right in in the locker room. I can see it now, "Oh golly, gosh darn it, that silly puck struck me in my private area and it hurts really, really bad" Yea right!

Sex toys on the court, wigs falling off...............I can see why that league is so popular.

The next time I watch one second of an WNBA game will be the first time.
