I agree about a connection between increases in communicable diseases and increased illegal immigration. I have heard no one mention this in any mainstream media stories on increases in measles, or other diseases, for that matter. And back during the previous administration, there was no word about health screening, for COVID or other diseases, for the thousands swarming in while our immigration laws were ignored. No one in the media brings it up, because it doesn't fit their narrative.
I believe this idiotic feature is on Orange Man Bad's "hit list", along with the EPA's pie-in-the-sky fuel economy requirements.
Yea...as you say you’re “guessing” that the increase in measles cases is largely a result of an open border which has allowed millions of people to enter the country with the measles virus...that seems like a stretch to me...as Trump’s administration has been claiming for over a year now that the border has been closed and basically nobody is coming in...so I can’t subscribe to that theory...unless you can show me some reliable statistical and medical stats on that…I would guess at least some percentage of “patient zero” virus carriers are from International American travelers returning home…
I just bought a new car about a year ago...a Ford SUV...it has this function...which at first I hated...then I thought...well I'm not using gas while I'm idling at a red light...so that's good...I mentioned this to my salesperson...and she told me..."don't use that"...we have had a lot of trouble having to replace starters and the special more expensive batteries as they burn out from over use...I turn mine off now...

Most auto articles say cars with this feature do not require new starters. But your dealer should know. I have a vehicle that has this option and I've gotten use to it. Germany and other countries require a driver to shut off the engine at stoplight and that was 60 years ago.

Measles, unlike COVID, doesn't come from a lab. If there is no measles in a community, and then there suddenly is, it had to come from somewhere. If there were only a clue. LOL. The measles outbreak started in the border states like New Mexico and Texas. The places where millions of people from all over the world came across the border. It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to put that together. Because our media is corrupt and biased there will never be any confirmation even though it is obvious. It doesn't fit the desired narrative. There is historical precedent. When the first Europeans came here, they brought contagious diseases. It is just something that happens when people are on the move. Where do you think it started? Even if you want to believe it is RFK's fault somehow, he couldn't start an outbreak.

I disable it. though sometimes I forget. It took a while to think of that stupid feature after numerous times at a traffic light where the light goes green and the car in front of me doesn't move. Now, along with thinking the driver isn't paying attention, I have to think that perhaps he has the anti-idle feature enabled.

I don't believe I ever said RFK is at fault for the measles outbreak...but I still strongly criticize his anti-vax encouragement...and also most all of his medical/health ideologies...if you want to champion his theories...and have no problem with him running the US Dept. of Health and Human Resources...challenging the existing public health establishment of medical and scientific community experts...with RFK having no degree in medicine, public health or even nursing...making him grossly unqualified to dictate medical advice...I have no problem with that...me...I will trust science...and we can just agree to disagree on that...
