Things that annoy me (3 Viewers)

The NBA "In Season Tournament." I'm not even sure what this is but they are promoting it like it has some meaning. I realize it is a gimmick to increase early season interest and maybe attract some younger viewers with those God awful video game courts, but it is otherwise silly. And they have a trophy for this? Someone on the pregame show last night was claiming that LeBron wants to be the first to put his name on the trophy. LOL.

Don't forget the horrible jerseys they designed to be worn, yet another cash grab by the NBA, the Celtics have one of the most iconic uniforms in the NBA, they have about 42 different variations they now wear so kids run out and buy all of them.

Such BS; and while I'm at it, STOP wearing home uniforms on the road and vice versa, it's annoying as ****.

And get off my lawn too.

Why do the waiters tell me that when I order a Sprite that they have something called "Starry" or "Sierra Mist"? Has it come to that? I told the guy tonight that I want the drink formerly known as Sprite and he knew exactly what I meant.

You actually bring up one of my wife's pet peeves. Restaurants today typically have Pepsi B/C they are too cheap to buy Cocal Cola. Mountain Dew is in its own league of greatness, but nothing beats an original Coke (or Sprite for that matter). Coca Cola is the one and only, there is a reason it costs more for Restaurants. (b/c it is the best).

One the few things we disagree on Tom. I'm a Pepsi man. Coke is too sweet. When I worked in a convenience store they cleaned the grill with white vinegar but sometimes we ran out and they told us to use coke to clean it and no other kind. That says enough for me about it.

Agreed, Coke is way too sweet for my taste.

I drink maybe 6 sodas a year if that, it's either Ginger Ale or Pepsi.

My wife drinks Coke. I if I ever have a soda it is Diet Mountain Dew OR Coke Zero Sugar.

All of that said, man, I can't do Pepsi, never could as a kid. There is nothing better than as a kid having a fountain Coca Cola Classic! OR when you got them in the deposit bottles!

Pepsi and Ginger Ale are also my 2 George. And I've cut way down on how much I drink.

Always was Coca-Cola for me up until I went to Coke Zero Sugar several years back. Pepsi or RC would do in a pinch, but never could stomach Mountain Dew at all. Iced Tea or Coke Zero to this day. No booze or milk. -- Al

My boys drank Mtn Dew but I could never "do the Dew." ALE 8 is a locally bottled soft drink which I think is terrible. Give me a Yoo Hoo! Chris

Hands down the worst soft drink is something called "Moxie" that they make up in Maine. Stephen King mentioned drinking it as a kid and by coincidence I came across a bottle somewhere. Decided to give it a try. Not good. Can't even be described.

Forgot all about Moxie. As a 14 year old (many, many moons ago), I spent a brief summer vacation on Bailey's Island in Maine. The family I stayed with had Moxie and loved it. I couldn't stand it, being a Coke drinker. They insisted I try it, which I did, once. Definitley an acquired taste and I never acquired it. -- Al

The term "Moxie" as in "He showed some Moxie" derived from the drink. Someone must like it up in New England because they are still producing it.

Am I the only one who likes Dr. Pepper? At least a few times a year......but not much of a soda drinker unless traveling now!
Pretty sure the cans and bottles in the garage fridge are probably expired ^&grin
