Things that annoy me (3 Viewers)

Idiotic publicity stunts like the guy who brought his giant dog to the Lakers game and sat in the front row. He is apparently some type of ersatz Internet personality and hauls the poor dog around to various sports events for attention to make a living. The dog is great, but he should be home chewing on a toy and not sitting next to Kevin Bacon at a basketball game. I was going to link the video but that would only feed into this narcissism.

Annoys me that Tom Wilson, the Goon from the Washington Capitals is still in the league. Latest I read is he blatantly tried to injure the Bluejackets Goalie (knee). I just do not understand when everything revolves around safety in pro sports that this ****** is still in the league. Mind boggling.

It's climate change. Every time it storms It's carbon emissions that do it. It's the end of the world. They only way to save it is to get rid of animals especially cows, live in a cave and eat bugs. Greta Thunberg,,Al Gore, John Kerry, Bill Gates and Klaus Schaub are our saviors.

.......Yes, apparently the worlds boiling and we're all going to fry.....^&grin its seriously scary how dumb some folks have become.....

I am all but certain that climate change is real.

I am even more certain there is nothing we can do about it.

Thus, I do not care.

Climate change is real but it's a natural thing the Earth does. I was reading about the Sahara desert, it was once lush and green with rivers, trees and megafauna animals. The last time this happened was about 7,000 years ago. It's said the earth wobbles every 20,000 years and the Sahara returns to the temperate climate for 2-3,000 years and them returns to desert which means about 13,000 years from now it will be green again.
What cracks me up is the people who are going to save the planet can't even take care of themselves.:rolleyes2:

The fake NORAD Santa tracker they roll out every year. Good grief. This is some type of fake news attention seeking nonsense. No kid needs a fake update on Santa's progress. There was a story on the local news tonight about some hotline that kids could call. Manned by a bunch of people with apparently nothing to do. This is all about the adults who want to be interviewed on TV. Every kid is glued to a video game or on their phone. They don't give a rat's backside about this.

The climate and weather is changing for whatever reason.

Humans probably unknowingly had something to do with it, but again, at this point who cares.

I openly laugh at both “sides” on this one.

The thought that we can somehow find a cause or undo it is actually hilarious.

"I drive an EV, I'm saving the planet!!"...............Yeah, no you're not you virtue signaling stooge.

If you can’t undo the damage that has been caused, are you prepared to live in 140 F in the summer or not have any water or if you live on the coasts, prepare to be flooded, such as is happening in Miami. Sorry, but acting like an ostrich doesn’t make the problem go away.

It's unfortunate that the climate change issue has always been framed in terms of politics. That is what doomed it in the US. Every single person now views it through their own political prism. Like the vaccine and many other things, it is no longer possible to have a rational discussion because everyone has reached a conclusion. I do think there are some who intentionally framed it in this way for political purposes. Using it as a litmus test to further divide people instead of any real concern about the underlying issue. It is extremely naive to suggest that the US could cut off the use of fossil fuels in the near term. It would also make little difference to climate change even if that occurred since most of the pollution comes from places like China and India that have no intention to forfeit the competitive economic advantages of the status quo. A more realistic plan might have convinced more folks but that train has left the station. It didn't help that many proponents continued to fly around on their private jets and continue to do so.

This is the Great Salt Lake. It is drying up. Without water, that area of the state of Utah could disappear.

Washington state is trying to pass a law that if you get caught using a gas powered leaf blower you would get a year in prison. Meanwhile murderers walk around free. Sick people out there.

Irrational statements such as you've posted are part of the problem.

It’s not irrational at all. The heat in summer in many parts of the world is already hitting new levels not seen before, lakes are drying up and flooding is happening.

140 degrees is an extreme overstatement. What is more likely that you will be sitting in a freezing darkened home because the politicians you help elect want to outlaw fossil fuels, including natural gas, and there won't be sufficient sunlight for solar panels and windmills will not be turning (that has already happened). And you will be starving because there won't be electricity to charge your EV (do you have an EV Brad?).

And pls disregard the like vote, hit the icon by mistake.

Last year was the hottest year on record. That’s a fact. Unless something is done, it will get worse.

This past summer was the mildest in years here in the northeast.

This past winter was the mildest in years here in the northeast.

The summer of 2022 was one of the mildest in years here in the northeast.

So far this winter, zero snow, zero days below 35 degrees.

So apparently, climate change is a MASSIVE problem everywhere in the world.

Except for the northeast.

Took my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee in for service on Wednesday, told the tech how much I love driving the jeep, it floats on the highway, unreal.

I asked him how EV sales are going; "not very good, it costs the driver the equivalent of 17.20 a gallon to drive one."

Oh gee, sign me up for that; I already decided when the lease is up on this jeep, I'm not turning it in, I'm buying it and driving it into the ground.

They're going to have to pry my cold, dead fingers off the steering wheel.

Mark this down now, in pen; I will NEVER buy an EV.

As in EVER.

Both the Biden administration and the UN did fact finding studies on getting rid fossil fuels and both came up with the estimate of 200+ years. It is not feasible to go strictly EV in 15 years. They are trying to take control of people's lives. Ask Ghana and Sri Lanka how it worked out listening to Greta and her gang. Seems the Europeans would have been at the mercy of the Russians if they didn't go back to fossil fuels last year. More and more climate scientists are changing their views on climate change. I think I'll listen to them instead of Al Gore.
