Things that I really like (1 Viewer)

I heard a story on satellite radio that the series was cancelled after one year, some of the personalities involved like West were less than pleased at how they were portrayed.

Maybe yours is a bootleg copy.

The Celtics won three titles in the 1980's, we're fine revisiting that era, that was probably the greatest 10 years in the history of the NBA with four great teams all getting bites at the apple.

Confirming Season 2 is on right now. However, seven hours ago, HBO cancelled future seasons due to the dramatic fall off of ratings in Season 2. Actually a shame, it is a very good series and honestly, enjoyable to watch fan or not. They really did a good job on it. Like IMO anything else with a smidgeon of intelligence on television today gets cancelled. I am sure they will be happy to replace it with Big Brother or some such nonsensical bullshite that plays to the lowest common denominator of intelligence.

No longer doing that 18 hour drive to Chicago.......or worse yet, the 18 hour drive back.

The video of an apparent Ukranian drone attack on a pick up truck in Sudan at the end of this report. They are firing on the truck and all h-e-double hockey stick is breaking loose. The truck is on fire like something out of Mad Max and skidding to a stop. The wounded jump out and run in all directions but if you look across the street some guy is standing there watering his lawn.

George:

Shows, online sales, etc., just a quick thanks for your hard work as a dealer in our hobby.

Best,
Jason

Thanks Jason, much appreciated.

As far as the shows;

"I've paid my dues Time after time
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime

And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face
But I've come through (and I mean to go on and on and on)

MMTS are the champions, my friends
And I'll keep on fighting 'til the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions
Of the toy soldier world!!

I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls
My customers brought me fame and fortune and everything that goes with it
I THANK YOU ALL!!

But it's been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise
I consider it a challenge before the whole toy soldier crowd
And I ain't gonna lose, ah (and I mean to go on and on and on...............till I retire............)

Yes, it is almost that time. "Bury the Bride" on Tubi was surprisingly good. I have low expectations for those Tubi original movies but enjoyed this one. "Nun 2" was good. The new Exorcist movie comes out next week. The trailer looks very good. Svengoolie double features start in Oct. on ME TV. Netflix has a new "Fall of the House of Usher" series. Of course, new Chucky (the premise for this season is a bit silly) and American Horror Story seasons. "Thanksgiving" comes out in November. That looks like an old school slasher movie.

In terms of movies in recent years, "X" and "Pearl" were outstanding. "Pearl" in particular is good. "Titane" is a super weird European movie. Someone here recommended "Digging up the Marrow" a few years ago. That is a good one. "Human Centipede" is not for the faint of heart or stomach. "Terrifier 2."

I forgot one of my favorites "Under the Skin." Far out sci-fi/horror based on the fantastic Michel Faber book. It was also directed by Jonathan Glazer. He has another upcoming movie called "The Zone of Interest" about Rudolf Hoss, the commandant of Auschwitz, and the life he and his family led just outside the camp. It is supposed to be a potential best picture nominee.

The Comcast guide description of The Man from Planet X: "Alien asks Earthlings for help, gets bazooka blasts."

I also enjoy reading the "Parental Guide" which outlines every swear word, sexual act, and substance abuse contained in a movie. I imagine some prudish 1950s schoolteacher watching all these movies and recording these pedantic details of depravity. In some cases they add commentary which is hilarious.

Jimmy Carter making a surprise appearance at his 99th birthday. He was a terrible president, but a nice guy. Happy Birthday JC!

I like it when anyone who isn't entirely evil lives to 99. Puts me in a good mood.

The tagline for the upcoming holiday-themed horror slasher "Thanksgiving": "There will be no leftovers."

I saw the trailer; directed by Eli Roth.....................I'm in.

Horror movies have a way of ruining all the holidays; Valentines Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve, on and on and it goes.

I'm assuming this will turn into a multi film series............they always do.

Perhaps as Western demographics change they be horror films on Asian festivals such as Diwali or less likely Ramadan and Eid ! {eek3}

I remember returning to the barracks after deployment/ field problem whatever and it felt so nice to just get a warm shower and glass of ice cold water. Sometimes, it's just the simple things.
