Things that I really like (1 Viewer)

I watched a Carson repeat last night on Antenna TV where his guests were Bob Hope, Clint Eastwood, and David Letterman. Not a bad lineup! It was a show toward the end of this tenure. They replayed a bit where Carson does the eulogy for a guy who was a thesaurus editor.

"I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson" on Netflix. Hilarious skits. The hot dog guy, driver's ed instructor, airplane guy, Garfield house. Season one and two were great. Season three starts later this month. Second only to the "Trailer Park Boys."

The Florida Panthers are on quite a run in the NHL playoffs. As the last seed, they knocked off the Bruins who had the best record in the history of the NHL. Then they knocked off Toronto (always great to see Canadian hockey fans crushed in defeat). Last night they won game one against Carolina in 4 OTs. The south has become the hot bed of hockey with Florida, Dallas, and Carolina among the last four teams. Even Vegas.

As a hockey fan I have to say that the quality of play in these playoffs have has been incredible.

I get it, sports fans in every sport around the world want the old guard to win, but there is no denying that expansion often brings great competition.

The Calder Cup. Hershey Bears vs Coachella Valley Firebirds. What a culture clash. That's old school hockey. Got to love the photo of Bears' goalie Hunter Shepard. Like something out of "Slap Shot."

Seems the Panthers have hit a wall. Going into the finals I wanted them to win the cup, love Tkachuk, but I now want Vegas because they have 2 ex Blues Pietrangelo & Barbashev.
Did I hear this correct Vegas goalie Hill just took over in net in March? Now he is out of this world!
About 4 years ago we went to Las Vegas to watch the Blues play and the pre game show is spectacular.

Got to watch the Hershey Bears on occasion as a kid when they played the Baltimore Clippers in the AHL.

The AHL games are a lot of fun. Relatively inexpensive, entertaining hockey, and a throwback to the old days. It's too bad they don't get more TV exposure. The NHL networks should carry more games. The Calder Cup this year features Hershey - the oldest team in the AHL and Coachella - the newest team.

Me too, Al! Brings back some pretty great memories!:salute::
Louis, my brother and I had the whole collection of Aurora monster models. Besides Godzilla, I remember Dracula, The Mummy, Wolfman, The Creature, Frankenstein, and, of course, King Kong. They were great fun to put together. Boy, that was a long time ago... -- Al

I had Godzilla, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, and King Kong. I had a Dracula that popped up out of his coffin. Good times!{sm4}

I had all those as well. NECA is producing all the old Universal horror figures. It's not quite the same but the quality is pretty good.

Hershey Bears wins the AHL Calder Cup in game 7 OT. Doesn't get much better than that. Great series.

Svengoolie is playing "The Car" tonight at 8. A great, campy 70s movie. It doesn't get much better than that.
