Thomas Gunn sets arrived (1 Viewer)

Is the Afrika set still available? I do not see it on his web site anymore. I was going to order one. I would hate to think I waited to long.

Sorry, you waited too long, everyone is sold out from what I am told.........

Here are a couple of photos I took in bad light, sort of fooling around. Anyway, I placed the 2007 Chicago Show figure next to them (left of the photo), you really can't tell the difference.

Really looking forward to future offerings.

Actually Brad, yes you can. It would seem that the TG figures are using some kind of field-applied extra armour protection with the mg in the first photo. Maybe it was a secret weapon.
:D:D:D
Only kidding. I've done that too, and only realised it after posting the photo.
:eek::eek::)

Dear Tom,
You commented
"I have always agreed on the price issue. It has always made me wonder how one manufacturer could always be cheaper, remeber NMA, nice stuff for the price! "
I am not trying to start a fight or duel etc but using NMA as a reference for "nice stuff for the price" would be appropriate if they had actually continued in business for a while. I did not stock them but I do recall serious discounting of their product by US dealers. Not much point having cheap product if you can not sustain the brand. Good for the customers while it lasts.

Brett

I checked on the TG website last night and it does look like the Afrika set has gone.

Brett, the guy that owned NMA is now involved with TGM which may explain Tom's comment.

Rob,

I spoken to Thomas Gunn by email last week, nice guy, nice product, nice price.

He told me the dealers for his products around the world are - Saimex & Hadiansvilla (Europe), Tin Soldier (Canada) and Treefrog, Hobby Bunker & Minutemen (USA) and Military Workshop (Australia) was come on board.

I am pretty sure Tin Soldier, Treefrog, Hobby Bunker & Minutemen are out of B sets, but you can try them, you may get lucky with the two Europe dealers. But as nasirkasmani stated there were only 100 sets manufactured and 200 of the A sets.

Thomas told me his second release will be out on 5 August, next Wdnesday. Looking forward to that. I forgot to ask him what it was, anyone know?

You can buy them straight from him and if you buy 2 or more sets he offers free shipping world wide.

Buying from the manufacturer avoids having to pay for shipping, you get them as soon as they are released, also ensures that the person/company producing the sets and doing all the hard work gets the most for their products and allows them to keep their prices down for collectors and the future.

Hope we see more specialist companies offering free shipping and producing products of quality at reasonable prices.

Hope you enjoy the new set Andrew,i really like the style of these new figures and find they go really well with the leading producers figures.(i'm being polite here and not mentioning other producers names on the thread;)).Am really looking forward to whats coming from TG over the coming months.

Rob

My MG barrel came bent also. But just a simple fix and all is well. Very nice set!

that's taking political correctness a bit too wide eh rob :)
matter of factly, isn't it a praise to the unmentioned manufacturer that this promising TG offering goes well together with it? ;)

What, King & Country?

What, King & Country?

Oh...I get it..

Thomas Gunn JUST made his figures to " GO WITH K & C's ", Ra...Ra...ra, ra,ra.

GEeee.... why did I ever think, TG figures were better than K&C's in every way.... placing them together.... no one would notice the obvious difference..

I wonder why Tom Gunn sold off all his K&C stuff then, he should have kept it all, so they could go with his.....

What was he thinking....:eek::cool:;)

Ready for the new K&C dispatch....I wonder what we'll see.....
