time on my hands at last (4 Viewers)

Hi Robin,
Congrats on the dio and the matching of US Navy and Aussie troops....not to mention the two donkeys....
Too bad the Aussies are in for a nasty surprise....the Japs in the bushes with that machinegun on a bipod will hack them.....
You were very fortunate on the dio layout for it provides great opportinities for displays! If I am not mistaken you have it in already 3 or 4 different set ups and they all look great.

Cheers

Some great work there!

Who makes the elephants carrying the cannons? I love those

Thanks for asking, they are from Britain's Delhi Durbar series around 4 years ago, done in Matte. Really nicely done, so one was not an option. The cannons are from K&C Imperial China. Robin.

Trying to keep ahead of the game Martyn, not likely to see any engineers in the series for along time, so have to adapt^&grin. That said the 13 prototypes recently shown will extend ECW big time. Looking forward to the mounted figures especially and the musketters too. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Robin.

I love how you've taken out the pikes and used the figures position to have them doing other things! Very well done!

Thanks Wayne & Martyn, for me this elephant represents the holy grail of K&C pieces, issued around the year 2000, it is very rare. I can now stop collecting ^&grin, all up to date. Robin.

True and guess what, this is the only K&C item he does not have in his collection. Can only hope he does not spot this thread.{eek3}, Robin.

Robin

This reminds me of the recent Jackie Chan movie "Dragon Blade" with Imperial troops and Romans on the Silk Road. Not an accurate historical tale, just a fun movie for folks with plenty of imagination ... and toy soldiers ^&grin
