time on my hands at last (1 Viewer)

Lovely boat. If you were to draw and cut the shape of it out of a 1 inch thick sheet of styrodur, and texturing and painting that as water, you could sink the stand into the hole so it looks like it's floating. :smile2:

A lot going on in this superb diorama with the highlight being the boat and crew. Great wave effect created. Well done. Regards Greg.

Great Sudan scenes.....and the use of 3 different manufacturers that blend in very well....
I always like when we can blend different manufactures for each will always contribute something different to the scene...be it a pose, a set of figures, or just allow a mass/volume twist to the diorama....
Need to add some gatling or nordenfelt to the charge dio.....all that fizzy wizzy Camel charge will over ran the troops{sm4}{sm4}:salute::
Cheers

My work takes me into peoples houses and I saw a homemade Nile Gun boat a few months ago and a very impressive sight it was too, manned with glossies, over in Pyrford, so you may well know the guy Martyn.

Hi.
Did these Roman and Egyptian ships also come from a nautical shop? Or were they made by a toy soldier company like LOD?
Thanks,
MikeNick

The Egyptian ship was made for me by a local modeller, the large Roman galley was made many years old now by Conte and the smaller one is a Playmobil. Robin.

Great set of photos there Robin. Like the way you've place the figures especially around the car in the Ambush.

Really very nicely done Robin . . . . the raised burial ground adds an interesting geographical detail to your fine diorama. Thanks for posting . . . .
