Tom, The goat is the same one in the Egypt and The Sudan - Field Kitchen and the ACW - Some Local Provisions sets, I wouldn't mind betting the German Shepherd appears in other sets;)

Cheers

Martyn:)

Tom: My set came from Trophy of Texas(photo 24 of my album 10 WWI). I don't remember seeing any other sets with a German Shepherd.

Thanks to the kindness of my good friend Tom, I was able to obtain the WWI Horsedrawn Ambulance today for the original list price.:smile2:

Congrats, Louis. This is a very nice and scarce piece and it will mesh well with the rest of your WW1 collection.

Does anyone have a picture of the Trophy WW1 Horse-drawn Ambulance that Louis was lucky enough to obtain? Reason is, I have a few bits and pieces to go - before I MAY be able to start refurbishing an old Britains version of one (not there yet though) - and I would love to see how Trophy made their version look - if someone has a picture (please)? johnnybach

I can send you an e-mail of the photo of the one I just obtained. PM me your e-mail address.

Take a look at my Album 10, WWI, photo 29.

Below - find Louis' Trophy Horse-Drawn WW1 Ambulance - with many thanks for the opportunity of viewing such a nice piece - which was quite pleasantly different from what I was expecting to see. - johnnybach

Many thanks Tommy - nice to see the ambulance from the other side too.

I was expecting to see a more "cart" like vehicle - but was surprised how elegant this one is. Not at all like the Britains four-horse version - that I have some bits and pieces of. Hopefully, when I have collected up some more parts, I hope to make my own version up - hence my interest in this one. I think currently, that I'm going to try for a Boer War British version - in Britains style though. Thanks again to you both for the viewing opportunity.............johnnybach

A really outstanding piece. I have never seen this one before. Didn't know that Trophy had done a TWO-wheeled cart. Quite unusual. -- Al

There are a few nice Trophy WWI sets up on ebay right now. I have a serious bid in on a big Royal Artillery Gun Team sets, and hope I can add it to my collection.:wink2:

It looks a bit like a military repaint of the Sherlock Holmes Handsom Cab set.

No such luck. I was the high bidder to the very end, then got outbid by a sniper.:(

Louis, sorry that you lost an auction, there will be more auctions like that :) A sniper or not does not matter if he overbid you on the highest bid you wanted to place : it's just life. I would advise either place the highest bid you feel comfortable with in advance or become a sniper and place it in the last moment... and at the end the highest bid wins in any case :) the rest it's just mind games :)

You're right Al. I should have put more of a bid up originally. Its not the end of the world, but I would have liked to add that piece to my Trophy WWI collection.
