Trophy - zulu war sets (1 Viewer)

GICOP,
Thanks as always for posting pictures of these "Collector's Items". I saw your early Hand to Hand set with the Zulu warrior with spoon utensil in his isicoco and am wondering if Trophy painted these utensils in the headring and earlobe on just the early sets, or more recent as well?
Mike

Hi Mike

I'm not sure of the date of manufacture but they are definitely pre 1995. Here are a few more.

Great news.

Reinforcements are on there way.

GICOP & Lt.,
Can't wait for the reinforcements, Martyn. And thanks to both of you guys for delving in and answering my query about the spoon in icicoco! I think that Joe shows well the same mould from year to year. Too bad these moulds are probably now lost to the ravages of time. Mike

Another shot of the Rocket Battery, this time under attack

One corner of the laager at Gingindlovu.

Here is a shot looking from the laager towards the attacking Zulu. The 60th are on your left holding the north face of the square and the 91st are on your right holding the rear. The Gatling gun from HMS Boadicea is in the centre of the picture. The Mounted Infantry are there along with the NNC. Pipers and a Drummer are playing to encourage the men during the fight.
