US/Israel Launches Op Epic Fury Against Iran (8 Viewers)

on tv...they are showing huge celebrations in the streets in Iran...so the Iranian people are on board with this...

Israeli Intelligence has always been touted as one of the best in the world...I think they can find where the leading contenders are...

perhaps there will be a targeted execution of the Ayatollah's son who is next in line...followed by the senior clerics...

I'm not on the fence about this...this could finally bring peace to the Middle East...
They were reporting that 40 or more of the top leaders were taken out. Not bad for day one. There are no guarantees because the people of Iran play the most important role in what happens next. The US and Israel have just provided them with an opportunity. I've already seen some talking heads on TV trying to politicize this and claim it was unnecessary. Next the Iranians will be claiming that Israel hit hospitals and schools etc.

I've heard reports he is dead, as is his son and for some reason Iran launched attacks against Six other countries in retaliation, I can't see how Iran can continue military action for long under that much pressure, with more to come if they don't comply.

while tragic...and I truly hate to see innocent civilians injured...there is always going to be some collateral damage and some civilian's deaths in bombing campaigns through populated areas...I'm not being callous about the loss of life...not excusing it...but it's virtually impossible to avoid...

still...it appears that as far as targeting the regime's leaders...I would go as far to say the bombing strikes were surgical in that regard...

I wonder how loyal the elite IRGC (125,000 strong) will be to whatever remains of the regime...not to mention the regular army...their proxy networks and sleeper cells...it would be great if they just dropped their weapons on the ground and walked away...but I doubt that will happen...

and I hope Israel will assume the lion's share of the ground work that needs to be done...

Air campaigns are terrible on civilians but the Allies and Axis didn't have any regards to them in WWII. The US and Israel do their best to try to minimize causalities as best they can. You don't see the Russians doing that.

Nor is Iran in their retaliatory strikes against neighboring countries

Regime change has happened? So who’s in charge now? Probably some other Islamic fundamentalist nut. You can drop as many bombs from the sky as you want but the same regime will still be running things.
A surviving official is in charge who has made retaliation threats against the US and Israel. A permanent leader will be chosen by an assembly of 88 Islamic Mullahs. Doesn't bode well for the future.

Remember Baghdad Bob? This official sounds like Tehran Tom. The Iranian leadership has been decimated. This won't go on very long. The people of Iran are amazingly modern. Unlike Afghanistan, there is a real opportunity for them to join civilization. I'm sure the extremists will disrupt any such modernization but there is at least hope.

I think Iran made a really bad calculation in attacking the US interests in neighboring States. I think they are finding out that these Countries want normalcy, not continued terror and bad relations. I am hopeful the next wave of US/Israeli targets are even more surgical.

Two rallies yesterday in Boston, one for the war, one against it.

Aside from one woman, the crowd that was against it; liberal white people living in Boston.

The crowd that was for it; Iranians living in Boston.

The Iranian woman who's against the attack; she must be ok with her homeland being the leading supporter of terrorism since 1979 and be anti US as well and be the #1 pooe stirrer in the region.

That's quite a stance.

AOC, Newsom, Schumer and Mamdani are all against this; oh and Hanoi Jane too.........................like anyone cares what that shriveled up hag has to say.

Or those four imbeciles for that matter.

AOC made a statement without someone snoring in the background, good for her.

Thankfully this mass shooter in Texas is being labelled a terrorist after shooting 19 people. In the past, he would have been a "Texas man" or something along those lines by our media:

"According to those sources, the shooter was wearing a sweatshirt that said "Allah" and an undershirt featuring an Iranian flag. Fox News has obtained a photo of the alleged mass shooter, armed with a rifle and in a sweater that says "property of Allah." Multiple federal sources tell Fox News that the suspect was naturalized in 2013 during the Obama administration."

All confirmed. Senegal national. Horrible. I know that area quite well and Buford’s is a well known watering hole. I am having dinner near there tomorrow night.
