Walking Dead, Season 4 (1 Viewer)

I received the Walking Dead Monopoly game to while away the hours until the 2nd half of the season begins. Oh and also Season 3 on Blu-Ray^&grin

Only a few days left to the 2nd half of the season starts up. Gonna have to catch the replay of the last couple of episodes to refresh my aging memory. But I do remember the closing episode prison shootout and the resulting cast changes.:wink2: -- Al

Pretty good episode. Michone becomes human and Carl learns that it ain't as easy as it looks. With the gang split up, this is a narrowly focused episode. Could be the way things go for a while, focusing on one group or another until some sort of reunion can take place. Lots of loose ends in play, and lots of avenues to follow as a result. -- Al

Al,
from what I read you are right on the way the episodes will be focused on the individuals for a while.Didn't watch it last night but most certainly will.

Another good episode. Glad to see the survivors starting to show up. The episodes are now regaining some of their tenseness since they left the prison. Much more interesting action on the road. Carol teamed up with Tyreese is going to be interesting. And a new place to aim for. Really glad they are out of that prison scene. -- Al

Abraham looks like Bull from Band of Brothers................

That's exactly who he is. At least the baby didn't end up a zombie hot pocket

He was also in the 'Southland' LA cop series too......he's certainly a big fella and looks nasty enough. Yes pleased to see bab's survived, shame the bus load got bitten.

Not being familiar with the comic book, if this latest character turns into nothing more than the governor on steriods, I am done with this series, not in the mood for more "Come with me, we'll take care of you, not to worry, we're one big happy family" while he plans on torturing and murdering them and saving their heads in a fish tank, not to mention Rick having another go round with a whack job loony tune like the governor.

Nope, that will be it for me........

The after show talk was that Abraham was a pretty important character in the comics and it was hinted that he wasn't necessarily a bad guy. They were trying to be vague so as to not give anything away. Who knows where the writers will go though. From what was said on the talk show, Darryl wasn't even in the comics. The separated groups will have enough trouble surviving and trying to reunite without another governor to deal with, although there was another hint dropped about a really despicable character that involves cannibalism that will eventually come along. -- Al

I with you on that. Guv II wouldn't cut it for me. Even the zombies have become lame. Every schoolgirl seems capable of knocking off an army of them. I would like to see the larger story evolve a little bit. Maybe the zombies get a bit smarter or the government starts to help out or they start to put together what happened in the first place. It's hard to believe people would still be running around in the woods after this length of time.

Yeah I'm with you guys, another Gov type character would be too much of a distraction and slow the story down. Quite like the idea of them separated for a while trying to survive on their own. The prison story became too predictable. Great to see Carol appear again and I'm sure Darryl will be happy?

This is the second Band of Brothers actor to make an appearance in the series.
It still amazes me that they keep finding safe havens and supply's within what seems like a short walk from the prison. Even when the Gov ran Woodberry his people made periodic vehicle runs to scavenge for supply's and this new town or Turismo(can't remember if that's right) is right down the tracks.
Okay so when you smother the baby....no ill effects???That baby's got some huge lungs.
Glen surrounded by Zombies as he lays on some elevated platform from a blown part of the prison and the girl who locks herself in a small chicken wire enclosure doesn't have one Zombie around her.
Glen is still weak from the not so past sickness but don's riot gear and a pack and gets mob flashed by a dozen or so Zombies, runs through them like a linebacker, rescues a girl, runs from the prison ,fights another hand to hand combat fight and then collapses. One tough dude. Built Chevy tough!!!!
Alot of stuff drives me crazy about this show but I still love to watch it......

Funny you say that Doug as I was thinking the same thing Sunday night; never thought I'd say it, but the zombies have become lame. The way they came piling out of the school bus was more comical than scary.

I'm hoping the show shifts location to a bigger place, but I think due to budget restraints, they won't be able to pull it off; first the covered wagons camp, then the farm, then back and forth from the prison and a small town that seemed to have one street (Anytown USA??).

We'll see................

The group sure is scattered, going in all directions. Kind of like the new Abraham group. What's up with the new Super Genius with the mullet? Wonder if he's for real or a nutbag. Also agree about the earlier statements that the zombies have become nothing but 'sport' in terms of danger. Writers might need to ratchet up the danger factor by having them mutate in some way. -- Al

Bumping into other people is more of a danger than all the zombies, lets hope they do mutate or something.

Great episode last night! Being on the road brings all kinds of new threats.

The Mullet dude is a goof. "Its Classified" was an absurd answer in their world. I would have shot him right there :)

The zombies are lame -- until they arent. You stack the odds anymore against the survivors -- primary needs for food, shelter, clean water, regular medical care, educating children, security from scavengers/bad guys, basic transportation/fuel, etc are no small matters -- and I dont think there is much hope, realistically.
