"War Park" New Brand 1/30 figures - Kharkov LSSAH (1 Viewer)

The odd thing about K&C is that the WWII figures are 1/28 and the vehicles are 1/30. FL at least has WWII figures and vehicles made to the same scale. Figarti, FL, TG, JJD and K&C armor is all 1/30 scale. FL, WB and Kronprinze figures are all 1/30; easy to mix and match and still achieve realistic displays for WWII.

Can you please stop taking the thread of topic as you already made your point about different scale in the hobby in this thread

Hangyu,

You certainly know how to create a demand by all means keep posting photos of the figures you are developing and would be fantastic to see any AFV you might be working on.

Best of all get something in place so we can order these figures and if they are as good as they look you shouldn't have any trouble selling them

Mark

PS Would be worth your while posting on the Hobby Bunker Forum as well

I emailed the company and asked how I could buy the six Winter German figures? They were prompt and professional with reply and the cost with postage to send to the UK was £203, 8 to 10 days delivery time. I thought they looked most like First Legion figures. Will let Treefroggers know more when they arrive.

When a new brand becomes available the size is an important consideration. When people ask questions about the figure size and compatibility with other manufacturers figures; as is the case with War Park figures it is polite to respond if you have the information requested. Certainly not off topic in the instance IMO!

K&C, TCS and TG WWII figures are 66-68 mm tall. WB and FL figures are 58-60mm tall as measured from top of base to top of head. The War Park figures seem to fall into the 58-60 mm range. Collectors refer to the K&C, TCS, TG figures as 1/28 scale and the WB, FL figures as 1/30 scale. Toy Soldier WWII Armor is 1/30 scale except for TCS; which is 1/28 scale and works best with the larger figures. Newer Toy Soldier WWII Armor makers i.e. Eagle Design and JJD make 1/30 scale Armor. K&C and Figarti started out making 1/32 scale WWII Armor and moved to 1/30 scale.

All very confusing to new collectors; but the Toy Soldier manufacturers cannot seem to standardize their products on 60 mm-1/30.

Sorry, but I really can't follow this.:)

Have placed and paid for the first 6 figures so looks like war park are up and running.

For me postage to Australia reasonable and once they arrive will know if they fit in with FL/WB on scale.

I would like to thank Hangyu for responding to my emails and for arranging order and now looking forward to seeing the figures.

It was also advised many more figures coming and AFV and as stated not copies of other manufactures or stolen moulds

Mark ....Thank You for helping test the waters.....Comparison photos would be most helpful to determine the compatibility of scale with WB and FL....i summize that these will work better with WB figures as they seem to be a bit more chunky in appearance but I could be wrong they hopefully can work with both....(Hopefully they are not 1:28th scale but id they are K/C collectors will be happy)

The height of War Park figures is 64mm.We think the height of men is 1800mm,so 1/30 is 60mm and the base is about 4mm.
Meanwhile, for War Park models, the size of AFVs and weapons and all objects is 1/30 of full size.
The following pics will be helpful for model players.

The size comparison photos are very helpful. Thank you for providing them. Looking closely at your photographs it is clear per the mm scale that WB and FL are 1/30 scale. The TCS, K&C, TG and FM figures are clearly larger than 1/30 scale. Figures that are 65 mm to 68 mm top of base to top of head are not 1/30 scale as they are labeled. A 6 foot tall man is 1828 mm. A figure of a 6 foot man 1/30 scale would be 60.9mm tall. A figure 65mm tall would be 1/28 scale i.e. 1828/65=28.

I think what Neil is trying to say Katana is that we all understand you're obsession with scale, but maybe give WP a chance to sell a few figures and get their product out there before speculating on size comparisons any further.

The more you raise the topic the more collectors switch off. You raise valid points, but you really are beating the scale thing to death.

Maybe button off a tad and let WP do their thing.

Just some friendly thoughts from a fellow member.

Cheers.:salute::

No, this particular photo is NOT helpful and could actually mislead prospective buyers. The poster appears to have selected an oversized figure to 'represent' K & C size. For example the CS figure (Sepp Dietrich) in that photo is actually taller than most of my K & C figures. There is a significant variation in figure size throughout K & C and most other companies. Another example being the Das Reich officer from set WS125 (German Panhard Armoured Car), that figure is actually 1/30 scale assuming he's representing the standard 6 Foot/1828mm human height, add height of his cap and base as per usual practise.

Katana, you are continually posting your opinions on figure scale as facts when they cannot be factual because of the size variations I mentioned above. Other companies such as TGM have said they are reducing the size of their figures yet you continue to claim they are oversized for 1/30 scale. You clearly need to update your opinions/claims/facts. As for your 'opinion', that is clearly suspect as you continue to assert that 1/28 scale figures match your 1/24 scale tanks, which of course is ridiculous, IMO of course.

The K&C figure they’ve used as a size comparrison is a little unfair as it must be the tallest figure they have ever produced. It’s HUGE (i have it) and towers over my othe K&C pieces.

"Why are so many men obsessed with 'size'?" I once heard a female comedian say and this thread is confirming it. I have ordered the new German figures and from looking I think they will go with either my F Legion and T Gunn figures and possibly my K & C. Whichever it is it I will be happy, for me there are only certain compatible figures, WW2 K & C with T Gunn looks OK for me, J Jenkins worked for me with W Britains in the Clash of Empire and the War of the Nile.

On scale and figure size the question for me is all non-famous figures are the same body shape and generic. I would like to see some differing body shape, for example When I served I was only 5ft 8inches and a little on the 'chunky' size and served with guys much taller than me and very lean, these differences are something that is not expressed in T Soldiers. I would like to see figures like Sgt. Kaffeekanne, the fat German delivering supplies by horse in the Longest day, about 1hr 27 minutes into the film. The actor was Gert Fröbe, who was also Auric Goldfinger in James Bond's Goldfinger.

Finally on scale I would like to quote Ted talking to Dougal about cows in the comedy series Father Ted [one of the greatest comedy shows] "These are small, but the ones outside are far away".

Size matters if you are interested in realism. A TCS WWII figure looks pretty silly with a Figarti Tiger I or an FL Panzer III IMO. Ditto FL figures look pretty silly next to a TCS Kingtiger. Some figures are so oversize they look realistic with 1/25 scale Tamiya Panzers.Tamiya provides excellent 68mm tall figures with their 1/25 scale Panzers. The same size as many K&C, TCS and TG figures in my collection. Also the Tamiya figures do not have bases to confuse the issue of actual figure height.

Julie has posted many size comparison photos that have been very valuable in determining the suitability of using figures from company B with figures from company B. The size comparison figures from War Park are equally useful; except where the scale has been mislabeled for some reason. I would like to see a size comparison photo of the War Park figures with FL and WB figures.
