What else do you collect beside toy soldiers (2 Viewers)

I can't be 100% sure, because I haven't received a formal invoice yet, but an auction in Germany ended, and the knockdown price for this WWI German Uhlan was less than my absentee bid, so I am pretty sure I won. If so, I will be sending it on to have restored like new, by the same Steiff restoration expert that restored the Bersaglieri:

Its official! I received and paid the invoice this morning. ^&cool^&cool I will post further photos of the Uhlan once he is restored.

Here are a few of my recent Militaria acquisitions on display . . . a Pre-WWI 16th Lancer Tunic, Chapka and WWI British Officer's Boots with Spurs, a WWI French Officer's Uniform, and a Model 1902 U.S. Artillery Dress Tunic:

I picked up a real Uhlan Tchapzka today identical to the one worn by the Steiff Uhlan:

The Uhlan helmet arrived, as did a couple of display bases, a WWI Bersaglieri Cape, and my fathers-day present, a WWI Prussian 8th Infantry Waffenrock tunic . Here are some photos of my rearranged uniform display. The Uhlan helmet is displayed with a German WWI Chevauleger Tunic, which shared the same pattern as the lancer tunics, but is dunkelblau with red facings. Among the new displays are a WWI Prussian 8th Infantry Waffenrock tunic (dunkelblau with red facings) displayed with an infantryman's overcoat (78th Infantry) and a matching feldmutz cap, as well as a new WWI Bersaglieri tunic and cape, displayed with my WWI Bersaglieri Hat:

I also picked up this 1917 Stetson. In addition to the John B. Stetson Co. makers mark there is a mark from Desmond’s Clothiers & Furnishers in Los Angeles, and a tag indicating it was sold to Elmer L. Willis, Union NY, who served in the 51st Balloon Co., Air Service.

I also got something really unusual, a Steiff doll of an Italian Boy Scout from the 1920's or 30's, you can see the Fascist influence in the uniform:

I recently acquired a Luger, a Philippine swivel gun, and a circa 1812 American artillery officer’s saber. I will try to post pictures soon!
