Dear, dear friends

Please when posting a picture, tell us at the very least, who is the maker

Thanks

I have not added to my AZW collection for a little while so I was quite pleased to pick up these three Britains figures when I visited my TS shop this morning.

Great addition to your collection Moe. Reminds of the scene from the Battle of Britain when Sgt. Pilot Andy returns to London to visit his family and gives his two sons model Spitfires, which he made for them.
Cheers,
Brendan

Moe,
I picked that one up as well. I really like it!
I love the military figures doing "non-military" things

Something a little different. ELCO 80' PT103 Class PT-109 in 1/40 scale. Have walked by it for years at a local hotel and out of the blue the store was closing and I picked it up for $99 as opposed to 799. Still need to fix the railing and q-tip the dust but should be in my study in no time.

This has to be the luckiest Friday the 13th of my life. The description on the e-Bay auction page read; “Britains Regiments of all Nations 334 U.S. Cavalry 54mm, Metal.” The set was in a Regiments of all Nations correct 5 piece cavalry box with correct insert. What in actuality was up for auction was the second version (1925-1941) of Set No.170 Greek Cavalry (albeit unboxed, James Opie rarity index of 75), in excellent to near mint condition. Although there were 9 bidders, I’m not certain how many fully realized what they were bidding on, as the hammer price was less than half that at Vectis Auctions Ltd. for a comparable unboxed set in 2013. I will let forum members be the judge based on the attached photos (barring size/memory issues).

I would really have loved painted metal, but that's very hard to find...
- until I do, I'll use some of these for my Zulu set-up..

A very good friend presented me with over 100 Café Storme/Mokarex figures which he had in his collection for many years. Although these are generally single hollow cast plastic figures, many of the pieces are beautifully sculpted and posed. I attach a clearer picture of some of the women in this collection.
