I have just returned from my weekly visit to my shop here in Brisbane. The Brisbane collectors are certainly spoilt by our proximity to a bricks and mortar store, particularly given that we can stand around for hours and enjoy my witty observations while talking all things TS.{sm3}

Nice pick-ups Jack. Did you have a cold drink from the fridge while you were in there?

That's one nice set. Waiting for the heavy gun Britain's have in the pipeline. Robin.

Saw pics of the 210cm gun at the History Store yesterday while talking with Ken Olsen. You won't be disappointed Robin. Comes with accessories, shell casings, rounds in wicker carrying cases, etc. Chris

Hi Chris,

Are there any pictures of the said gun available on the net for us to see?
I saw an add - sneak peek - is what Britains said it was of a German 28 cm Kustenmorser L/14 Type, sometimes mistaken for a Big Bertha ( which was even bigger ) but no garrison , just a couple of Tommies running by.....

Cheers

Picked up this Hezter yesterday. I have always liked Hetzers and really like the Camo. Didn't have the other figure and sign. But I still like itmisc 004 (640x480).jpg

Purchased a Franklin Mint MG to use as a cultural piece with BoB sets:

Don't know if anyone else is interested in a piece like this, but a less pricey alternative is available in the form of a retired kit from Monogram.

Great looking kit-builds that you've got there. I slapped together a Tamiya 1/48 several years back that's still on display in my study. Like yourself, I fixed the canopy the way that my eye said that a canopy is supposed to look. However, every pic that I've ever seen of a real one with the canopy open has it flopped back towards the engine nacelle:

The explanation is pretty obvious, I believe. That position is where "the stop" was on the hinge. Still, darn it, that's just not what a jet canopy is supposed to look like in the open position!

As near as I can tell, modelers love this little bird. One of the challenges of finding pics to post was differentiating the kit-build images from those of the actual He-162. I looked long and hard at the last one above before deciding that it was the real-deal. That's how good some of the replicas that I came across were.
