Who Really Killed John F. Kennedy (2 Viewers)

There are no conspiricies only great co incidences,,pretty well documented the agents were doing a bit .of drinking the night before in the many clubs here in D.,,The slow and odd reactions such as the driver of JFKs car almost stopping and looking back before speeding up being one,,But the rather tacky "museum" in the school book suppository,,oswalds rooming house where he managed to return to quickly and easily as he always did with things,,

There are some interesting and rarely seen pictures and videos on the 6th floor museum website. With all that has been written and researched, I don't recall anyone ever reviewing the reflections on the cars. In this Willis slide, the back of the secret service car reflects the TSBD just about the time the first shot was fired. Using the zoom feature and cursor you can enhance the size of the reflection off the trunk and make out the TSBD and tree in front of the Book Depository. I wonder if someone used a more advanced technology if you could find anything useful - or maybe I'm just bored senseless:

Maybe you wouldnt be bored senseless if you know the 1979 house committee on assasinations found evidence of conspiricy in the jfk assasination, and to this day the feds,,FBI etc refuse to do anything to find out why,,just as all the witnesses suddenly died within a few years,,the film of JFK moving violently in the same direction a bullet hit him, suspending all the laws of physics etc,, and the magic bullet causing seven seperate impacts and emerging pristine,,some day everyone alive then will have passed and things go into history,

I was a high schol sophomore when Kennedy was killed.
Mark Lane's book was required reading for my generation.
My question has always been, " Why was so much of the investigation's findings sealed in the Archives for 75 years ?"

The 1979 HCA actually confirmed the Warren Commission findings that Oswald fired three shots at Kennedy and hit him twice including the fatal head shot. They did conclude that a fourth shot was fired from the Grassy Knoll area which missed. HOWEVER, that was based solely on a audio recording which has subsequently been debunked. There is now a 100% certainty that the audio they relied upon did not catch the sounds of the shots (i.e. there is no evidence of a grassy knoll shooter). I'm not aware of any FBI refusal to investigate. Perhaps they realize Oswald was the assassin and he is long dead? The rest is just inaccurate. No evidence of witnesses suddenly dying. Some of those mysterious deaths cited by the conspiracy crowd include, for example, JFK Jr.! Most died long AFTER they had told their stories. Why kill them years or decades after they were already on record? The "magic" or "pristine" bullet was actually severely damaged. It was also a "full metal jacket" military bullet designed to inflict harm. No great mystery there. AND neutron activation analysis confirms the bullet matches fragments found in Kennedy and Connally. It has to be the bullet which caused those wounds whether you believe it's improbable or not. AND that bullet matches Oswald's rifle to the exclusion of all other guns. This was confirmed by the WC and HCA. Case closed.

JFK and the Unspeakable: Why he died and why it matters by Douglas is a good read on this topic.

Nice attempt at revisionism,,never question authority,,,your source that any follow up on the committee findings was ever done? Closed in your mind,,you do accept that a few might not fall into line and raise the arms? No evidence of any one connected dying? Geez man denial must be a lifestyle,,fdr flew in the lead japanese aircraft at pearl harbor also,,,water gate was a just a bunch of lone nuts working together. There are no conspiricies only great coincidences,,lets your your insight about Vietnam

I don't really follow. Or see any specific claim or evidence here. Give us some example of evidence that you have of a conspiracy other than generalized statements. If it involves witnesses dying, give us a name and explain why anyone could kill a witness when they have already told their story. In some cases years or decades after the event. It's defies common sense to believe the FBI, CIA, Secret Service, Dallas Police, the Mob, Cuba, Russia, some ladies in the suburbs of Dallas (who got Oswald the job at the TSBD), military doctors, Jack Ruby, Oswald's wife (she took the pictures of him holding the rifle and testified about his attempt to shoot Gen. Walker) and hundreds of others planned this event and kept the secret for fifty years. Your own example of Watergate involved a handful of people trying to pull of a job 1/100000000 times less complex than the alleged Kennedy assassination conspiracy. And they were caught red handed! But the Kennedy conspirators pulled it off? Anticipated events that couldn't possibly be known beforehand. Kept it secret for going on 50 years and on and on... It's a drumbeat of guilt against Oswald for anyone familiar with the evidence. Why did he leave his wedding band with his wife the day of the assassination? What did he carry to work that morning? He told the guy who drove him it was curtain rods. Oswald later denied carrying anything. So the kid who drove him to work must be lying and a conspirator. No curtain rods are ever found at the TSBD or Oswalds apartment. Oswald is the only person missing from the TSBD after the shooting. No one saw him during the shooting. His fingerprints are on the gun. There are pictures of him holding the gun before the assassination. The bullets match Oswalds gun. After Kennedy is shot Oswald gets his pistol, shoots a police officer and goes to the movies. Clearly the actions of an innocent guy. But one guy who witnessed the assassination chokes on a chicken bone a decade later and boom - there must be a conspiracy.

No interest or concern pal,,if choking the chicken is your priority march along in lock step,,keep raising that arm ,your govt loves you types. They only look after you and the rest of the sheep.

The sad fact of the matter is, no one will ever know till you die. Then the believe everything your told people will say, oh I thought that was a Theory. I respect everyones opinion, but there are so many lies and coverups surrounding JFK assasination, the truth is stained and some where in the middle. One fact is, the back of his skull was blown out, they had to rebuild it to cover up the shot came from thefront. There was a lady in the zaprudda film holding a simular type movie camera, it would have shown a clear view of the Grassy knoll, that footage was confiscated and probaly destroyed. There is no way Oswald got of three rounds in 5 secs, and hit twice, there is also a still photo showing a man who looks incredibly like Oswald standing with the crowd in front of the building he worked in, as the motorcade was passing. With all the tech stuff now, you would think they could prove him inocent, but all the books have been written, that now makes it fact to the people who believe everything they read.I think wanting to withdraw the troops out of Vietnam, is the main reason. I am the same age as the late John Jr., I remember that funeral well.

How Oswald was able to hit a moving target with a bolt action rifle twice, puzzles me.
Also, the idea that JFK was going to withdraw advisors and not escalate is revisionist history.
Kennedy imagined himself a macho-man.
Read more about the Diem brothers.

The President of the United States is one of the most heavily guarded individuals on the face of the earth. So either Oswald was very lucky or else there is more to the whole thing than meets the eye. It seems the vast majority of Americans across the political spectrum believe there was a conspiracy.

Kennedy was riding in an open car at 10 mph. The shots were fired by a trained marksman at a short distance. The longest of the three shots was 650 ft. It was a clear, unobstructed shot. Elm St. actually angles upward so a moving target appears stationary. What's remarkable is that one of the shots missed. In fact Bugliosi argues Oswald may not have used the scope, just the metal sights. This case is a slam dunk. Read the Bugliosi book or even the Posner's Case Closed. No reasonable person can come to any other opinion if you look at the facts and not the Oliver Stone type history.

I have ordered the Bugliosi book and will read it.

Tom Hanks and HBO are doing a ten-part mini series based on the Bugliosi book. I believe this will be aired around the time of the 50th anniversary. Another death knell for the conspiracy theorists:

HBO Films and Playtone have acquired Vincent Bugliosi's recent epic book "Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy", which debunks conspiracy theories to establish that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone when he shot the President on Nov. 22, 1963, it was announced today by Colin Callender, president, HBO Films. Playtone's Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman will executive produce the ten-part miniseries with Bill Paxton, the star of the HBO series Big Love, which Playtone produces in association with HBO.

"We are delighted that Tom, Gary and Bill brought this amazing project to HBO," said Callender. "The successful creative partnership we have enjoyed with them over the years imbues us with a confidence, an excitement and the knowledge that Bugliosi's riveting book will make a very powerful transition to the screen."

Bugliosi's impressive 1612-page story, a New York Times best seller that the Los Angeles Times called "a book for the ages," emphatically refutes conspiracy theorists with rich detail about the events that led Lee Harvey Oswald to kill the President. He is also the author of the award-winning true crime book Helter Skelter, which detailed his prosecution of the Charles Manson murders and inspired two made-for-TV movies.

"I'm really excited to be working with people of the immense stature of Tom Hanks, Gary Goetzman and Bill Paxton," says Bugliosi. "Seventy-five percent of the American public believes in the falsehood that there was a conspiracy in the assassination of President Kennedy, and only 19 percent accept the findings of the Warren Commission that Oswald acted alone. Working with Playtone and HBO, I'm confident that we can reverse those numbers and finally bring the truth to the American public."

Again, it is up to the interpretation of the readers and authors. Bugilosi is not the be all to end all, he is interpreting disputed facts. I am sure the conspiracy will be alive and well and this will only fuel it. Oliver Stone may have made the movie, but it was based on a book by Garrison who by all accounts was as sane and factual as Bugliosi. Doug, I know your opinion here, but as is undisputed, television movies and books are what they are. The historical record on this event will always be cloudy and a lot of it may be the own fault of our government's handling of the event. A lot of initial actions were shady and actually in hindsight gave rise to the conspiracy!

There is nothing cloudy about the historical record here. In fact there probably has been more research done on those few seconds in Dallas than any in history. It has been examined and picked apart from every angle for nearly 50 years. However, I don't doubt that some people will continue to belive in a conspiracy just as some believe in bigfoot and ghosts but that doesn't give it validity. Determining what happened is based on an examination of facts and evidence. And no reasonable person can look at the evidence in this case and come away with any conclusion other than Oswald is the lone shooter. That's a 100% certainty. You will find no one in prison today who has more evidence against them than we have on Oswald. We have 1000% more evidence against Oswald then we do on John Wilkes Booth. There are two related reasons that most believe in a conspiracy and they have nothing to do with the facts. First, a mistrust of government. Anything important that happens in the world must be the result of some puppet strings pulled at the highest level. Second, an inability to accept that one lonely guy with a cheap rifle could change the history of the world. Vietnam, Watergate, the Civil Rights amendments were all significantly impacted by Oswald's actions on that day. And some just can't accept that happened by chance. To accept that is to acknowledge that we don't have complete control over events in this world.
