Pathetic wasn't it,so glad they were whupped by Germany!
Rob
And the sad thing is that it's not unusual in most teams. Behaviour like this makes it harder for many people unfamiliar with Soccer to treat the game with much respect.

But a goal being called over the line by the ref is a world away from jumping in the air and punching the ball Rod,fairs fair.Whilst I respect your teams History no one has the right to think the Cup belongs to their part of the world, and I think your exit from this cup is leaving you with a sour taste that is warping your opinion of European football, especially my country for some reason. And you failed to actually say anything about his blatant punch of the ball, very odd.
Rob.
My friend, I don't have any sour taste about the European teams, and as you know I hate Drogadona and Argentina, when it,s come to Futboll. Even if we are fanatics about soccer I wasn't expect much from Brasil this year, and I mentioned before that I gave all the credits to Holland, and I even think that they was able to put 3 more goals in Brasil....also I have no frustration about England or Germany etc...I am just passionate and as you and your country men are.
Nothing personal my friend nothing at all...
Pathetic wasn't it,so glad they were whupped by Germany! And at least we got ONE goal against them!!
Rob
Fair enough Rod,my apologies
(I guess its me that smarting because we played like s***!)
Rob
No apologizes need at all, my English is very poor and sometimes sounds very weird....have a nice day
I never thought that I will say this phrase in my lifetime, BUT GO ARGENTINA GO......

In all seriousness I'll miss em , Weather you love him or hate him you must admit he is one of the true characters of World Cup 2010 . I had heard that if he won the WC title he was going to run through the streets nakedNow that would have been funny , as I'm sure he would have done it . I love the game and I'm happy to see fans who are passionate for their team no matter who they are . My neighbor is 95 and her live in nurse is from Ghana , I will always remember the pride that shone on her face when they won . Its a Heartbreak for her to see Ghana lose , the emotion was very strong . Only this Game can make most of the world feel this way . Its GREAT
All the best Gebhard
I cannot imagine you ever saying that ...

Deutschland Weltmeister[/QUOTE said:I do not think so but so far they admittedly have surprised everyone - including their fans in Germany.
The team which I consider the "wild cards" are Uruguay and the Netherlands. So far, I missed all games of the championship, but hope that wednesday I can sit on a pub with my friends and enjoy the game.
Hand of God aside he was possibly the all time best player, only Pelé comes to mind as possible competition. And I do enjoy his spirit and passion, his press conferences at the World Cup have always been a lot of fun. Not exactly a perfect person but neither was George Best (and this one might have gone straight to the all time top if not for...
).
I understand that Maradona is considered a hero in Scotland, now I wonder why...
Paulo
Of all the countries England worry about when it comes to World cup history...Scotland are not one of them,I wonder why!.
Rob
Perhaps someone can answer this for me but I've always wondered why the UK have three different teams: England, Scotland and Wales? I can't think of two many countries that have something similar.
Because I guess none of them want to give up their national team for a UK one,too much history now. There was talk of a UK team for 2012 but again it was voted down.
Rob
Rob ,
I think the only thing that can unite all these teams to fight together is a World War![]()
I would be curious to know what fans overseas think of Tommy Smyth he is calling the games here in the States for ESPN Radio . Thanks Gebhard
