  • Thanks for the nice words Mike on my collection! Yours looks great too! I really envy your ability to make your dioramas so lively.
Thanks for the info Mike! I finally feel I've mastered macro after taking numerous photos today of 1-2 figures set up, also I took a bunch of lamps and positioned them around my dio, and that really helped!:) I'm in the process of building my Brecourt Manor diorama out of 2 inch pink foam it works, but I'll be sure to build my hedgerows and cliffs out of the floral foam.

Hi Mike , thanks for dropping by. I love painting. Have more to do soon. I am also going to start some more ships/subs whatever.
    Mike,

BTW was reading through your scenic thread very helpful! I'll probably now make my 4' long by 2 1/2' wide' and 2 1/2' tall Omaha beach bluffs out of the floral foam instead of pink.

    Thanks,

    Jake
    Mike,

Loved the photos! With the macro setting do you zoom, as I just get very blurry pics with macro, and I need some help as I'm stuck just taking closeups of figures.
    Thanks!

I used the techniques that I learned from Ken to make my Crusader dioramas. This winter I will be using the same techniques to make my 36" x 18" Rorke's Drift Diorama. If you follow Ken's instructions its not that difficult to do yourself. I have a thread under the "How To" section showing step-by-step how I created my dios.
Yeah, probably coming up Friday morning too, planning on attending the K&C dinner? If Ken Osen does another diorama demo that is a must to attend!

The Zulu range is very tempting to buy into!:);) I bought Urban debris for WWII, and got a set of their FANTASTIC walls for my birthday! Hopefully, they'll have some new products at Chicago this year!:D

    Mike,

Just wanted to suggest the Hudson and Allen Studios Urban Debris set for your Hougoumont dio, in my opinion it would be a great addition to the red brick destroyed building!:)

Things are going well, Mike, but very busy so I haven't had time to keep up with things. Hope you are doing well also.

Thank you for adding me to your friends list, it's an honour.

    Cheers

    Martyn:)
Thanks for the info Mike, if I may suggest I just made myself a tree using a branch from a sappling and then hot glued on "Foilage in a clump" or I think that's what it is called, you can pick this up at any hobby/craft store. Post some pics of the tree once I download the software of my new camera to my computer. Thanks for compliments on albums!

Mike, I really enjoy your dioramas! I'm curious though with your Hougmont dio, I saw you had playmobil trees on it, do you think these would work good with Britains/ONTC figures?

    Thanks!
    Vick
