What would Forum Members like to see in the Conquest of America range in the future?

Agreed. Let's all try to go to the Chicago Show & ask Mr. Jenkins. Love an original range!

What would Forum Members like to see in the Conquest of America range in the future?

All of the ideas you mentioned should be in Mr. Jenkins's creative range. As cool as expansions to this field would be (from Incas/Mayans to Explorers/Jamestown & beyond), we would like to see Cortez's Conquest of the Mexica completed - or almost so, before a new series gets far. This is...

Falling Interest in Trophy on eBay?

Michigan Toy Soldier had 4 or 5 boxes of Zulus on consignment for $130-$140 or so. They sold. I almost bid. I see Trophy selling for good prices these days. Some people just ask for the maximum & may never get it. BTW, did someone buy that Confederate Leopard Gunship on ebay? If so, nice!

    Samurai Collection

I have never seen or even heard of a better Samurai collection. I have East of India. Nice but no match for what you have. I have the First Legion Samurai Archer. I collect too many eras to buy Russian masterpieces (though I have some knights). Would love to get the cavalry; talk me into it...

Trophy Question - Large Nile Steamer Boat

Believe me or not: Len Taylor offered (through Lynn Kenwood of MKL) a Mississippi River Casino steamer to us & 2 others for 1500 Pounds Sterling each in 2001 or 2003. Thought that would be of interest. We missed the Victoria because we have a similar cool steamship. Have the HMS Lion & small...

New Releases for August 2018 - The Conquest of America

What a great range! Too bad I missed the Cuachiqueh duo! Hope it's re-released! Am looking forward to Conquistadores even though we have a very pretty Morgans Miniatures group. Will buy all the Spaniards, but I still wish for more Indians including Tlaxcalans - even Incas! Great range Mr...

AG016-AG023 Alexander the Great and Macedonian Companion Cavalry

I would like to know what happened to the Marco Polo collection & their plans for a Trojan Horse etc. You would have to ask Thor Johnson

AG016-AG023 Alexander the Great and Macedonian Companion Cavalry

The East of India Greeks are great! They make a great phalanx!

    Knights of the skies...hindsight

We have our Spad & Lowenhardt's Albatross on the stands. There should be more types of perspex bases & all new JJ WWI aircraft should be able to use them. Still, we love having Fokker DrI's & VII's displayed with ground crew & hangar in a "Jasta"-type setting. They look great on the ground too...

AG016-AG023 Alexander the Great and Macedonian Companion Cavalry

As owners of hundreds of weighty cavalry figures that have been displayed for an average of a decade (some much longer), Dad & I have noticed that: a) it depends on the way the weight is distributed & how top-heavy or tilted the figure may be. For example, a small percentage of our older beloved...

    Chicago 2013

We bought the HMS Lion from MKL Models back in 2000. It was shipped safely from London to Chicagoland. It was the second Trophy that we had ever purchased, a gift from son to father. We had very little idea of what it would look like in the flesh. We were so enamoured with it that for weeks...

    Morgan Miniatures

We just opened two dozen Morgan Miniatures (14 Aztecs & 10 Conquistadores) that we have been collecting over the past 2 years this Christmas. Each one is a work of art & unique & a valuable asset to our collection. They do the best Aztecs we have ever seen.

2014, what do you hope to see??

Macedonian Companion Cavalry. Eventually, #1 on our future wish list from any company would be a First Legion: Persian Chariot! Preferrably Darius's but a scythed chariot would be nice as well!

    Classic and memorable movie scenes

My top 5: Harlech song (with Zulu bass section) in Zulu. Minstrel Boy song in Rough Riders. Charge at the end of Last Samurai. Gunfight at the OK Coral in Tombstone. The Battle of Agincourt in Branagh's Henry V. Also: any scene from The Vikings. Love to talk about military history movies; like...
