    K&C Retroactive Price Increases

Whipped up a quick list of items that aren't retired yet, and were released pre-2009. You can check it out here: Pre-2009 K&C Not Retired This is based off the database I have to track releases and retirements. Should be pretty accurate for the series I'm tracking (don't have them all, SOHK...

    Cossacks WWII somewhere in Ukraine

Excellent photos. Really showcases the new figures and the Panzer III. Bad for my wallet though now! Thanks for sharing. -Rich

    repairing broken figures

They are likely referring to "Aron Alpha" or "Krazy Glue". You can check out the website here http://www.aronalpha.com/. Basically just a cyanoacrylate glue (super glue, etc.). That said, I'll join the chorus of "send it back". For a new item you should get what you pay for. -Rich

    Napoleonics Scale Question

How do the K&C Napoleonics compare with the other K&C lines? I have various K&C releases from the WWI, WWII, recent American Revolution and Civil War lines. I understand that the Medieval Knights/Crusaders line is smaller (1/32), but wasn't sure if the Napoleonics were as well. I've seen...

    DAK Paint Color

Thanks for the tip! Love the Vallejo line of paints, and enjoy doing the occasional touch up. I've found that you can get a pretty spot on match for the K&C DAK tunic using Vallejo [920] German Uniform (1-part) + [806] German Yellow (2-parts) + [951] White (1-part), with a little adjustment...

    What do you think?

Very nice model. Looks a little too uniformly white when looking at the overall shot. Think I'd want to see more grey as well. The application of the whitewash is excellent, just seems like a fair amount of it.

Stug III somewhere in Russia (Dio)

Very nice! Didn't think of using the gray Stug in a winter scene, but it works well. Thanks for sharing. -Rich

    Figarti JS2 and Tank Riders

Excellent review Terry. Received mine last week, and was very impressed with it as well. Definitely restored my faith in the Figarti product, as well as whetted my appetite for more Russian armor. Have the K&C T34 as well, but would love to see a T34 done the Figarti way! -Rich

    K&C Categorization question.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad the database has been of use to the community. Hoping to grow the database shortly (just been a little swamped with work lately), so keep an eye out for some changes. Take care, -Rich

    Dispatches are up!

Here is a quick view of the last three Shermans that K&C have produced. First being the "General Inspection" SL, followed by the "Classic" and finally the just announced Firefly. The "Classic" is by far the cleanest (don't know if there is any stuff in the tracks), followed by the "General...

    Dispatches are up!

Like the looks of the Firefly, but am a little put off by the track "junk" that seems to be coming back again. Is this a style decision, or did the more defined tracks pose a problem with breakage, etc.? The DD093 "Classic" Sherman doesn't have this problem, so it is somewhat of a step...

    Scale question

Best I found for comparison was in the 1/72 scale model arena. Profiline has a few variation of the Steyr type 1500, including the radio truck version. Their website is http://profiline.wbs.cz/Military--172.html. -Rich

    Brilliant

Thanks for posting. I have the Normandy versions of the recent sets, and I think they are all excellent. I have some of the desert releases in the earlier sets, and they do mix well with the K&C of the same/similar pattern. Something about the Normandy FJs really catches my eye though. -Rich

    Museum Wax and/or Gel

Thanks for the follow-up. Does it come off easy when you need to move/store a figure? I saw what I think was museum wax on a vehicle holding a piece on at one point (a show model I had picked up), but it didn't come off too cleanly (little bits stuck in the detail). Might not have been the...

    Museum Wax and/or Gel

Is anyone using Museum Wax or Museum Gel to secure figures in place on tanks or other vehicles? I believe the manufacturer is Quakehold! (saw it on Amazon). I have a pesky tank rider that likes to topple off periodically (the one from the WS072 Summer Panther Set who is leaning on the turret)...

    Problems with TGM Figure's.....

I have all the sets released so far, and think they are excellent the way they are (please don't change!). The scale and paint go well with K&C figures and vehicles, probably the best of all the companies I collect. The poses are interesting and unique, and the value for the money is...

    Opinions on Winter Panther

Thanks for sharing, I think it actually looks better than the marketing picture (more realistic).

    2009 Favourite Releases

Being an armor fan, I liked the following: FW049 - British Mark IV DD116 - Cromwell IF009 - Semovente M40-75/18 AK050 - Panzer III Tank BBG021 - Jagdpanzer IV As far as the Me 163 Komet, I'm thinking it may be a little too obscure compared to other iconic aircraft such as the Spitfire, P-51...
