I have always pictured you driving a mini with a Union Jack painted on the bonnet - not that there is anything wrong with that!

I have a 2004 Hyundai and a 1967 British Racing Green MGB. Guess which one I like the most!

the BA comments was actually about a comment you mentioned on open forum about you having a BA and then emphasising as an after thought that you gained it with Hons. I found that amusing as you don't have to do extra to gain Hons just don't get less than a 2-2

Don't think I have ever had to give a CV on here and only spoke about some of the things I have when asked I don't need to boast about what I have achieved academically. However, it is good to know and for other forum members that the Grammar police are still here.

As for the rest since your first post in this you have been making it personal and thrown in many digs that I am sure you and the pack that follows you will find funny but, as you have progressed it has sadly just fell into a commentary on you as a person and how you behave. Many people don't have the time to write a response to members check previous posts and then re-read before submitting as you do. I also know that you actually proof read and show your murmurings to people before submitting on a number of occasions so, to highlight people's spelling and punctuation on a forum where many use phones and similar small devices is rather sad and petty and, sadly, rather in keeping with what we have come to expect from you and how you engage with people.

I could not really care if the Mods are watching if they are then nothing I have said here is worse or more personal than what you have contributed to this post and, is normal for your open posts and rather tame compared to what you act like in PM.

Humour seems to have rather passed you buy (Intended spelling mistake to save you filing it on comments and posts by Mitch)

Nice Post from the workshop.
Mitch

Mitch,

When I see five *'s my brain does not actually have to count them. It automatically recognises that there are five.

As regards your comment "with just a BA" I take it that is a reference to attending University. Not sure where you got that idea as I did not. I went straight from school to joining the Royal Hong Kong Police as an Inspector at 18 (youngest ever). I came 2nd in a class of 14 which included former UK Police and University Graduates all of whom were at least 5 years older than me.

I am hoping your use of the word "just" is not you trying to imply that you have a higher qualification than a BA. If you do have something higher than a BA then I am also stunned. Anybody who has read your posts can see there are issues with commas, full stops, paragraphs and sentences that often do not make sense. I think my school did a better job in this respect than any University you might have attended.

Now if you don't mind I will dis-engage from this thread as we all know you will continue ad nauseam. Besides Brad has probably run out of
popcorn and Todd might think it is some sort of ping pong event.

Rob...

You are not that naïve in the question you pose. Its down to brand loyalty gone amuck over many years on this forum. You know for a fact the issues with K&C and FL and, all the daftness surrounding anyone who said anything against either. Its calmed down with FL but, some dinosaurs are still wanting it to continue with K&C.

Nobody has to explain what they buy as you well know its the defence that some perpetuate that restricts a decent discussion about the good and the bad of the toy soldiers.

If people don't like others comments about the warts and all they should be adult enough to not involve themselves in those threads. Again, it goes back to how can people be annoyed at comments about Toy soldiers??? whether it is said once or one hundred times how does it ever annoy people.

A lot is down to people moving quickly from a response about their brand and then turn it personal as has happened here. It can't ever stop until the people who have perpetrated this for a lot of years stop.

Question is how does a perfectly good thread end up like this??? Funny thing, we spend our lives eating what we want, driving what we want, listening to what we want and never feel the need to explain or care what others may think, yet when it comes to TS we think we have to explain? Must say I've never cared one iota if someone says they don't like what I collect, why would it, I'm not asking them to collect it !!:rolleyes2:

Mate that why I've replied to the thread what the point !?

The Hyundai, right :rolleyes2:

Hyundais must look quite different in your part of the world! They are reliable, cheap and effective but they are the 'solid car' that you mock when you are young.

The MG is the car you buy when you graduate. I could never part with it, despite the fact that it broke down the day before my wedding as I approached the outskirts of the regional city where I was getting married. I had to stand by the side of the road and hitch hike into town with my suit over my arm. Worth the effort though!

Sorry boys, show is over. Brett and Mitch are no longer in this conversation. Time to move on.

Sligthly off topic -- and if anything this whole thread is one big off topic -- but speaking of sport cars, someone mentioned to my wife that when you're young you can't afford a Porsche (my dream car) and then when you get older and can afford it, you can't fit into it!

Well, the games began and now they're over {eek3} ^&grin

Maybe we should have a no holds barred thread for Brett and Mitch where they can just go at it and I can sell the tickets. In high school I was an usher so this could be a natural! ^&cool

Brand loyalty simply shows the enthusiasm and passion that collectors have for their miniature treasures. As a WWII collector brands like King&Country, Collectors Showcase, Figarti, First Legion,Thomas Gunn and others each have their own special style and flair that appeals to different collector tastes.

Yes bit of a shame really, but we made it to 8 pages fellas, so over all not a bad effort in the end, either on or off the topic....:wink2:

Cheers
